At 7 AM, we set off from nearby Nice, beginning our road trip to Avignon. As we wound our way through the twisting mountain roads, we gradually left behind the coastal beaches and palm trees, entering the inland vineyards and olive groves. Passing through one small town after another, we admired the charming countryside scenery outside the window. On the distant horizon, the towering city walls and spired churches of our destination, Avignon, came into view. Upon arriving in Avignon, we were immediately captivated by the sight before us.
