It was founded in 1970. The name was inspired by the owner's background, as he was once an Australian farm worker in the early 1940s. Sometimes some diners mistakenly believe that the company is a tea restaurant. The venue also holds an ordinary restaurant license and can operate a tea restaurant business. However, the company does not provide luncheon meat, sausage, instant noodles or rice and other tea restaurant-style dishes, but does provide several desserts, iced drinks and snacks. Signature dishes include "Eggs Stewed in Milk" and "Eggs Stewed in Apricot Juice" (both available hot and cold), and famous dishes include scrambled eggs and toast. If you go to Hong Kong, you definitely need to come to this restaurant. There might be a queue when you come, especially during the meal time, but the queue usually moves really fast. If we come for lunch, you can order tea set which cost HK$ 52 (plus HK$ 2 for cold drink) and get a macaroni/spaghetti soup with cha siu and egg (recommend to try their scramble egg) and toast and ham and tea/coffee. I ordered hot stewed milk + ham macaroni + scrambled egg toast, which was delicious. The total cost was HK$101. Next door is Mak Man Kee Noodle House, which has been recommended by Michelin for many years and is also a famous restaurant with a long queue. There were not many people that day, but we needed to share the table. We ordered wonton noodles and Kyoto fried bean paste noodles. The wontons are delicious and highly recommended, but the noodles have no taste. The fried bean paste noodles are more flavorful because of the fried sauce, but they are ordinary. The bowl is cheaper at 46 Hong Kong dollars. I ordered a plate for 51 yuan, so I spent 102 yuan.
