(The pool will reopen in early April.) 🏀 The hotel's "Children's World" has a toddler slide, doll machine, nostalgic game machine and books, etc., can help children pass the time. 🛝 After a break at the hotel, take your children by car to play at Tai Bai Wan Beach Park. How to get there : If you live in Kowloon or New Territories side, you can take MTR station to Sunny bay station, then take a taxi or bus to the hotel directly. If you live on Hong Kong Island, you can take a ferry service from Central pier number 3 to Discoverybay pier. It will cost you HKD46 for adult, HKD 23 for children. Highlights at surrounding areas : I just came to know that the fusion groceries prices selling at Discovery bay is extremely expensive, almost double of price if compare to the price in Kowloon and New Territories. Discovery Bay is awesome, so peaceful and relaxing🥰. A great place for staycation. We stayed at the Auberge Discovery Bay Hotel, pretty nice and hired bikes for the day to get around the Island. Very pleasant rides, the kids love it but shame we didn’t have time to get to the beach 🏖 so we’ll definitely go again 🥰#staycation

Auberge DB staycation This could be our favourite family friendly hotel. Satisfying my kids needs, including bathtubs, Disney Junior on tv, beach or playground at a reasonably good price. Before the playground reopens, I book the staycation packages that includes an afternoon set and buffet breakfast for 2 at $1100 per room, and upgraded to ocean front view for just $300 extras. Room is spacious, bed and amenities are acceptable, view is always spectacular when the sea is included; the fun clubs or I call it the game room for adults and kids are opened which is cool because we had a little bit of fun time with the table tennis, basketball machine and arcade. Afternoon tea set is alright and buffet breakfast with enough food choices. Do remember to book your time slot for buffet breakfast though. The next morning, we had breakfast at 8, done by 9 and head right to the beach nearby. Where we found this beach playground set up by the locals, and a pond next to it. K and D absolutely love this place! The swing, the zipline, the mini- tree house and their favourite spot is the pond where they found shrimp, crabs and fishes! They met other kids and started to play for hours. I love how kids are enjoying and being natural, at nature. I took kids back to the beach and playground a week later. They spent 3 hours at the pond and beach, playing with Italian and Aussie kids. We managed to catch a fish and crab for close observation before freeing them to the pond. I later learnt that this amazing playground we are enjoying are works of these kids hero dads, wanting their kids to be able to have fun outside, especially during the pandemic where the playgrounds are closed. Discovery Bay Hotel I like the Discovery Bay Hotel very much. Tung Chung is only a 20-minute bus ride away. It has a completely different feel from the city center. It's like entering a European town, with many foreigners and low-density housing. There is a triangular white chapel, almost all glass. You can get married here. It is really a vow of eternal love. Facing the sea with the mountain on your back, many people choose this place to get married. It is very romantic. There is also a white carriage, so men can become a real prince charming. Whether you have a Western-style buffet party on the green lawn or a Chinese-style wedding banquet indoors, you can enjoy a super broad view, blue sky and white clouds, and an endless view of the shining sea.
