I recently took a night flight out of the main airport in Athens which was about 30 minutes by car from the city centre. The check-in and security was very quick and the airport followed a similar format of walking through duty free (which was still open) and then into the waiting areas which has some bars and cafes, currency exchange points and ATMs. There is also free wifi and lots of places to charge electronics from, which is helpful #airport #urbanexplorer #mytripvlog

For me, I had chosen to chill out and relax in the Goldair Handling CIP lounge at Athens international Airport. As it happens to be lunchtime as well, I decided to enjoy my lunch there too. Main selections were quite limited in the lounge. Even so, I had my fill there with the unlimited flow of sides and desserts shots, which looked and tasted nice. There was quite a good selection of alcoholic drinks as well. The lounge is bright but a bit cramped. There are various types of seating available from dining tables to relaxing sofa on the other side of the lounge.
