It’s the perfect place to relax on the pebbly shore or swim in the crystal-clear water. After enjoying the beach, I took a short walk up to the Assos Castle ruins 🏰—the views from up there are incredible! If you’re hungry, there are a few lovely tavernas nearby where you can enjoy fresh seafood with a stunning view of the bay. It’s also a short drive from Myrtos Beach, another must-visit on the island. During my holiday to Kefalonia, we visited Assos on the north west of the island. It is something that i would definitely recommend doing if you have the chance because it’s such a beautiful place. We enjoyed lunch next to the beach and then had a quick dip in the water. The turquoise waters and the pastel-colored houses of Assos below create a picturesque setting. 🌊🏞️ Wandering through the well-preserved walls and remnants of Venetian architecture, it felt like stepping into a medieval tale. The informative plaques helped piece together the castle's rich history and strategic significance. 🗺️🏹 The panoramic views from the top, including the charming Assos village and lush landscapes, were absolutely mesmerizing.
