Ashikaga Flower Park is known as the art village of flowers. With the theme of "Seasons of Eight Flowers", a garden composed of hundreds of flowers and trees was created. Starting with the big vine, the symbol of the park, pink vines, wisterias, and white vines have slightly different flowering seasons. Flowers of various colors bloom before and after, and a fantastic flower story is staged here.

WISTERIA WONDERLAND IN ASHIKAGA FLOWER PARK
#parksandgardens
We weren't aware that the wisteria at Ashikaga Flower Park would be in season as our main plan was to visit Hitachi Park for the blue flowers.
However, we learned about the wisteria season later and felt lucky to have the chance to see it as well.
The lush wisteria of white and purple shades drape and hang beautifully from the wooden trellises, its fragrance so wonderfully nice and sweet.
We were incredibly happy with the visit and left the park feeling blissful.

[Ashikaga Flower Park] In addition to Wisteria Story, there are eight major flower season themes
#TokyoAttractions
During the cherry blossom viewing in Tokyo🌸, you might as well appreciate the beauty of other flower clusters.
[Ashikaga Flower Park] is located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture.
The shocking power of the wisteria flowers once became one of the "Top 10 Fantasy Tourist Attractions in the World".
The hanging wisteria forms a large purple waterfall.
There is no one who is not shocked by this sight!
We visited in spring and did not see the beautiful wisteria;
Let’s have a cup of wisteria soft ice cream first😋
The tiny wisteria, pink and purple along the way are already very attractive.
There are also nine-layered cherry blossoms, small chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms⋯⋯🥰
Unfortunately, the miracle vine was not in full bloom when I went there🫣
I have a small regret, I will only visit again next year!

Blooming beauties
We really had a great time visited several Parks in Japan, namely Goryokaku Park, Hitachi Seaside Park, Ashikaga Flower Park which offerred extensive varieties of flowers.
We love the special emotions being surrounded by flowers.
Flowers made us feel good, happy and in love.
Flowers are sunshine, food and medicine to our souls.
Every flower blooms in its own time just like we all grow and bloom at our own pace.
And, life is beautiful.

🇯🇵 Wisteria flowers in the suburbs of Tokyo💜
April to June is a good time to see wisteria flowers🌺! Watching wisteria flowers in Ashikaga Flower Park, the wisteria flowers hang down from the ceiling in bunches to form a long passage, which is very beautiful and special. It is a scenic spot where everyone mainly looks up. 🤣💜 We also saw white wisteria this time, which is also very special🤍
In addition to purple wisteria, this garden also has many flower fields to enjoy🌷
⭐️There is a night vine light show at night, I want to visit again at night next time!

🔥Recommended points
A beautiful park with flowers blooming in every season. The wisteria flowers are especially famous!
📝Travel record
I walked around the park and enjoyed the illuminations. This was my second visit, but it was crowded on the weekend. It's cold in winter, so be sure to take precautions against the cold❄
The wisteria tunnel was beautiful! I can't take good photos, so it's hard to capture the scenery I saw in front of me as it is. . .

[Tochigi/Ashikaga] Impressive! Wisteria curtains
The charm of Ashikaga Flower Park—Enjoy flowers in every season!
Ashikaga Flower Park, located in Tochigi Prefecture, is one of Japan's leading flower spots.
It is especially famous for its spring wisteria flowers, and was selected as one of the "Top 10 Dream Travel Destinations in the World."
Its fantastic beauty is something you will never forget once you see it. We have compiled a list of the highlights of Ashikaga Flower Park, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of flowers throughout the four seasons, tips for taking photos, and how to get there!
◆Highlights
・Illuminated Wisteria: The symbol of Ashikaga Flower Park is the large wisteria, which is over 150 years old. In particular, the illumination at night is fantastic, and it is so beautiful that it feels like you are being showered with light.
・Wisteria Tunnel: The tunnel, where pale purple wisteria blooms in an arch shape, is a perfect Instagram spot. Walking while surrounded by the scent of flowers will give you a sense of the extraordinary.
・Seasonal Flowers: The attraction is that you can enjoy it in any season, with wisteria in spring, roses in summer, cosmos in autumn, and illuminations in winter.
◆ Tips for taking photos
- Wide-angle lens: If you want to capture the entire tunnel in one photo, a wide-angle lens is useful. You can take a better photo if you take a photo at a time when there are fewer people around.
- Capture the colors of the flowers vividly: When photographing flowers, if the light is too strong, the colors will be washed out, so if you take advantage of the soft light on a cloudy day or in the morning, the colors of the flowers will be captured vividly.
◆ Access
About a 10-minute walk from Ashikaga Station on the JR Ryomo Line
A 15-minute walk from Ashikaga-shi Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line
Ashikaga Flower Park is a spot where you can enjoy the beauty of flowers in every season. The wisteria season is especially recommended, so be sure to bring your camera and visit!

Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Prefecture
Located in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, Ashikaga Flower Park was once selected by American CNN as one of the top ten dreamy travel destinations in the world. It is the only place in Japan that made the list. During the months of April and May when the wisteria flowers bloom, the park hosts the Great Wisteria Festival, where over 350 wisteria trees blossom at the same time, creating a spectacular sight. It is said that wisteria is an ancient flowering plant in Japan, and there is even a wisteria tree that is over 150 years old, which has been designated as a national natural monument.
The sea of wisteria flowers during the day is like a dreamy fairyland, and at night, the wisteria flowers, illuminated by lights, are recognized as a Japanese night view heritage known as 'Night Wisteria'. CNN even compared it to the Tree of Souls in Avatar, making it feel like being in a forest wonderland, leaving visitors in awe.

【Spring Flower Hunting】Ashikaga Flower Park: Have you ever seen such a rare double-flowered wisteria?
On the way to Ashikaga,
passing by the Kasama Inari Shrine, I recognized the double-flowered wisteria
—a not so large shrine dedicated to the 'Double-flowered Wisteria Flower Festival',
where middle school students take photos under the wisteria,
although it had only just started to bloom,
I couldn't fully witness its rare beauty in full bloom...
But finally, in the Ashikaga Wisteria Garden, I was fortunate to encounter it again:
Blue-purple? Dark purple? Burgundy?
It looked like bunches of ripe grapes hanging down🍇,
but also had peony-like buds,
very double-layered, very distinctive,
this is the precious variety in the world of wisteria:
the double-flowered 'Black Dragon Wisteria', simply known as double-flowered wisteria, also called peony wisteria,
it is said that it was not very popular in the past,
because its wisteria flowers bloom almost black, which is somewhat eerie,
but now, under scientific recognition, it is considered valuable for its rarity:
Such a rare, double-flowered wisteria—
have you ever seen it?
Felix_9_Winterbourne*82
[Tochigi/Ashikaga] This is the place to go for wisteria flowers!
The scent of wisteria is soothing,
and it is well maintained, and the wisteria and other flower gardens are colorful and tastefully displayed.
People come from all over the world, so it's a really popular spot, and even if you go early in the morning when the gardens open, there are always people at the wisteria! lol
The wisteria soft serve ice cream is so delicious that you'll want to try it whenever you go,
and you'll want to eat it 🍦
In recent years, they've been adding other menu items, so it's fun to look forward to it.

Ashikaga flower wisteria, lit up at night
#night #lighting #wisteriaflower #ashikaga
Visiting Ashikaga Wisteria is an unforgettable experience, especially when lit up at night. It is recommended to arrive at dusk to enjoy the beautiful scenery during the day, and then wait for nightfall to witness the beauty of the garden illuminated by lights. The wisteria flowers at night exude a faint fragrance, and the soft lighting creates a unique atmosphere. Bring some snacks and drinks, sit down in a comfortable corner in the garden, and wait for the tranquility and beauty of the evening. Remember to bring your camera to capture these beautiful moments as memories.

Ashikaga Flower Park Wisteria Festival
The best time to view the flowers at the Ashikaga Flower Park Wisteria Festival is when over 350 wisteria plants of various colors, such as purple, white, and pink, will bloom in succession during the festival. Among them, the giant purple wisteria trellis, which spreads out like a canopy, is particularly breathtaking. The curtains of wisteria flowers sway in the wind alongside azaleas, reminiscent of the Tree of Souls from the movie Avatar, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere.

#cherryblossom2024 I came to this flower park in April , when the most popular Wisteria flower in this park starts blooming. I was very lucky I visited this park when it was sunny day, not raining at all (it was rainy season). There is a lot of different types flower, you can enjoy seeing it while walking or sitting on the bench.
Apparently there is a souvenir shop that selling flowers too, they are available in a little pot or even seed if you want to plant it yourself.
There is also a restaurant that is selling a limited time Wisteria themed ice cream, they said it's a combination of vanilla and Wisteria flower.

#springblossom I love Ghost of Tsushima and if you played the DLC and saw the mysterious wisteria at the end of the world, you can see it here in the real world instead. The wisteria season is around April - May, may move, so watch the official website to catch the best moment. White tunnel is amazing, smells quite fragile, but definitely flowers which might be too weak to replicate as perfumes. Wisteria flavored ice cream is surprisingly good, worth to try. Looks elegant. Snacks and light meal available inside the garden. Credit card mostly available. Parking slots, vending machines for waters. If you want to feel flowers in Japan, you have no reason to miss it.
