📍Side Amphitheater Side Amphitheater is one of the best remain of Greek amphitheater is sill good intact even after more than two thousands years. Wonderful piece of history that is not a world heritage site, but perhaps should be when viewed alongside ancient Side. The building is large, originally seating 15000 people. When in use it had an orchestra pit where they held gladiatorial contests. This is defintly worth a vist it only cost 100TL (turkish lira) to get in and is by far worth a visit. Side, Turkey This area is a resort area with many tourists, especially from Europe and Russia. This time, we stayed at a hotel called Palm World Spa & Resort for 4 nights. The room rate includes 3 buffet meals, alcoholic drinks, pool, sauna, and Turkish hammam. (Massage is also available for a fee.) It depends on the season, but we stayed in May and it cost about ¥10,000/day for 2 people. It's a great deal. This hotel seems to have a lot of tourists from Germany, so there were staff members who could speak German. They said it was their first time staying at a Japanese hotel. The staff were all very kind. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and a gym on the premises. The beach is less than a 10-minute walk away, but the shuttle bus runs frequently, so it's convenient. There is also a hotel-only bar on the beachside, where you can get drinks and lunch. Of course, beach beds are also provided. You don't need to spend money on food and drink during your stay, so you can go to the beach or the pool without a wallet, and it's safe from a security standpoint. The food menu is basically Turkish style. Hot food is always replenished, and some dishes are cooked right in front of you. There is a wide selection and the menu changes slightly every day, so you won't get bored even if you stay for a long time. Side Antik Kenti The old town stretches out towards the sea. It's about a 15-minute walk from the nearby parking lot, but there are rugged ruins lined up along the way, making for a spectacular view that makes it perfect for a stroll. I visited in May, and the weather was good enough to make me sweat. For those who don't want to walk much, there is a shuttle car that costs €0.5 one way, so I recommend that as well◎ The old town is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants aimed at tourists, and the prices are tourist prices. Ice cream is €4, so it's a bit expensive considering the cost of living in Turkey. There seem to be a lot of tourists from Europe, so the prices are listed in euros. It's a recommended spot where you can take a pleasant walk while smelling the sea. If you don't enter the museum, you can see the sights for ¥0. I travelled to Avsallar Turkey to visit my mom but ended up blown away by its beauty and surroundings. Only having 5 days in this city, I was able to see and do so much. I explored 4 different beaches in 4 different cities. Walked around many streets in Manavagat and Alanya. Visited many markets and tried some cultural food. Driven to tops of mountains and viewed some spectacular views. And even went to a castle! Truly Turkey is worth visiting!

After a crazy but amazing period of working came to a close there was only one thing left to do TRAVEL! Apologies it’s a long one but as brief as possible! 1st stop to bask in the sun and some needed r&r was Perth. Relaxing and catching up with the fam ❤️ Next stop Cambodia 🇰🇭 Phnom Penh taking in the beautiful sites of Royal Palace and visiting many stunning sites including Silk Village and the Golden Temple. Siem Reap was the next stop visiting Angkor Wot Temple. The early start at 3am for sunrise at this spectacular wonder of the world was worth every second! Loved the floating village and seeing how communities live and look after each other. Next stop Vietnam 🇻🇳 Hanoi was as busy as every one said! Crossing the roads was daunting but a day later I was a pro 🤣 Train street, Halong bay, Ninh Binh, Bai Dinh Temple was definitely worth the visit. Next stop Da nang From monkey & marble mountains to seeing Lady Buddha in all her glory! Dragon bridge and the many markets are a must see in Vietnam. Of course had to visit the Golden Bridge and Bana hills. Last stop Hoi Chi Minh previously known as Saigon! Watching a bamboo show at the opera house and doing lots of sightseeing in this vibrant city. Of course getting inked at the famous Saigon ink was in the itinerary 🙈 Next stop Philippines 🇵🇭 I started in Manila in the Makati region exploring malls and a few landmarks. Off I went to Cebu for the next few days, here visiting Sirao flower gardens, Taoist Temple and the beautiful Temple of Leah and ending the day at the 10000 roses site made this trip memorable. Meeting some new friends was definitely a highlight too 🥰 Next stop is Palawan. Puerto Princesa and El Nido From longest underground river tours to island hopping to visiting some stunning lagoons each moment was a as picturesque as the next! As I returned back to Perth to recoup from living the dream and some well needed rest. Last stop before returning home had to be Malaysia 🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur you finished this trip perfectly. Batu Caves to the PETRONAS towers from temples to the most incredible malls. Loved central market and Petaling Street and Bukit Bintang. 47 hours flying time, 15 flights and 11 hotels later it’s time to go home for now 😉 As travelling was the main goal for 2024 I hope it continues for many years to come. It encompasses the modern resort town and the ruins of the ancient city, making it a perfect blend of ancient and modern architecture. Backed by the blue sea, it is an ideal holiday destination for people who want to bathe in the sun, by a beach and explore the rich history of Greek mythology, owing to the ancient temples of Athena and Apollo housed in the town. Side is a pedestrian-only town with almost 29 different structures to visit. The streets are lined with cafes, temples, an amphitheatre and various stores. Side has two beach Strips: West Beach, which is near the hotels and has fine sand and watersports, and East Beach, which is rockier and quieter. You can also find various archaeological ruins along the East Beach area. You can get between the two beaches by dolmus buses. The main bus station, Side Otogari, is within walking distance of the old town, where most attractions are located.

However, the Temple of Athena has been under restoration and maintenance. Antique Side is the main attraction in the Manavgat area. The ruins of an ancient Roman city attract the visitors from all over the world. We visited the place in July and the weather was very hot at that time. As it was high season there were crowds of people. You can walk to the attractions or take a special tourist bus. Temple of Apollo#Antiqueside is worth visiting beyond any doubt and it looks especially magical at night in the moonlight.
