One day, while volunteering at Harbour City, I decided to grab some food. I passed by this bakery and was attracted by the variety of desserts they offered. The colorful croissant balls caught my eye. The French croissant balls, a 'sweet and savory art piece' first created in Hong Kong, resemble Japanese temari balls and are very beautiful. Besides the croissant balls, the thick and large handmade cookies 🍪 also caught my attention.
The croissant balls come in various flavors, including Earl Grey Mango 🥭 Croissant Ball, Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Croissant Ball, Carbonara Croissant Ball, Original Madeleine Cake with Pineapple 🍍 Croissant Ball, and Shrimp Paste Madeleine Cake with Pork Floss Croissant Ball. I chose the Banana Cinnamon Chocolate Croissant Ball, which had banana 🍌 puree, soft chocolate cake, and a light cinnamon flavor, not too sweet.
On that day, the bakery offered 6 types of handmade cookies. The Pistachio Matcha White Chocolate Cookie was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a rich texture. The matcha flavor was strong, and the pistachios were crunchy.
While paying, I noticed the bakery's pastries and whole cakes were also very exquisite, especially the cake with a rose 🌹 on it. I hope my husband surprises me with one as a Valentine's Day gift 💝.
