[2025 Akto Attraction] Travel Guide for Aoyitake Red Valley (Updated Apr)

4.2
Oytak Red Valley, also known as Red Mountain Bubble Valley, is located at the confluence of the Oytak River and the Gaizi River (the dividing point between the Kunlun Mountains and the Tianshan Mountains). The fiery red mountains are distributed on both sides of the valley, stretching for more than one kilometer. It is also called the Flaming Mountain of Southern Xinjiang. In fact, the color is brighter than that of the Flaming Mountain of Turpan. The many bubble-shaped holes on its rock walls are even more surprising! Affected by geological movements and wind and rain erosion, the easily soluble parts of the rock mass have become cracks and holes, leaving bubbles one by one on the mountain. White molten salt flow traces can be seen on many rocks. There is almost no grass here. The mountain is rich in iron oxide and presents different levels of red. The further you go in, the more magical it is. The stone walls on both sides are polished into various strange shapes, like red fragments left on the earth by Mars. On rainy days, the color of the mountain is redder and more portrait-like, especially the soil after rain is darker red.
