In spring, if you don't come to Aowanda to see the maple leaves, the blooming mountain cherry blossoms are even more charming!
Spring in Aowanda without admiring the maple leaves? There are actually cherry blossoms in full bloom!
Located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou, the Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area is over 2000 meters above sea level. Every year in February, at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, the mountain cherry blossoms in the park quietly bloom. By the end of the month, the crimson sea of flowers is quite enchanting. Although it doesn't cover the entire mountain, the blue sky and green land as the background still make for great photos!
The Aowanda park is not small, but due to the impact of previous typhoons, many trails have been closed or damaged. Currently, only the Forest Park Trail and the Bird Watching Trail are open, so there is a discount on the entrance fee. Additionally, the external roads are under repair with time restrictions, so the number of visitors does not affect the quality of flower viewing. You can still have a great time and take beautiful photos!
