Historic buildings
The Antai Gate of the ancient city of Yixian County in the Ming Dynasty (Yizhouwei) was built in 1426 AD. It has a history of nearly 600 years. It is one of the four ancient city gates in Yixian County. It is also a landmark building with ancient city style and historical and cultural value. It was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 2014. The ancient city of Yixian County, which was built between the 22nd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1389 AD) and the first year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty (1426 AD), is square in shape, facing north and south. The city wall is more than 5,000 meters long, more than 9 meters high, 5.9 meters wide at the bottom and 3.9 meters wide at the top. There are four gates in the city wall: Dong Xichun, Nan Yongqing, Xi Qingfeng, and Bei Antai. There are double towers on the gates, and the gates are surrounded by moon city and urn city. There are horse paths on the inner side of each gate. The original moon city and double-layer iron gate of Antai Gate have been destroyed, leaving only a broken doorway. The doorway is adjacent to Daling River in the north and connected to the North Street of the ancient city in the south. Due to wind and rain erosion and years of neglect, the North City Gate was severely damaged.
