A Cute Salt Bread Specialty Store in Anguk, Seoul

I went to ARTIST BAKERY, a sister store of the popular morning bagel shop LONDON BAGLE MUSEUM. The Anguk store I visited is right outside Exit 1 of Anguk Station✨ ARTIST BAKERY is a salt bread specialty store, and salt bread is trendy in Korea right now🥐 There were 47 groups waiting for eat-in, but for takeout, it was only a 5-group wait and took about 5 minutes to get in⏳ All the salt bread looked delicious, and after much deliberation, I got three🥖 The pretzel dough with a good hit of salt was so delicious that I didn't realize it was all gone - like magic🪄 I should have bought more😭 I can't wait for 47 groups, but next time I want to go early on a weekday and try eating in❤️

#timetotravel The cafe experience is not to be missed when in Seoul. We made a visit to the popular Onion Cafe which was inside a traditional Korean house with opened courtyard. The queuing time wasn’t too bad for us( just under 30 minutes) but the line quickly doubled in length shortly after 3pm. Once you are shown the seat, everything is self service. Streets of Gye Dong- Seoul

Located near Bukchon Hanok and near to Exit 3 of Anguk Station nestled this quiet and quaint neighbourhood lined with rows of shops that mainly closes before 9pm except for the convenience stores. This is a good place to take a late night of stroll, while you can take photos of this pure beauty of the shops minus the crowd. The shops are retained in the traditional style which makes you kinda just love the art of it all #seoul #hanok #architecture #beauty #streets

Viral Cafe in Anguk, Seoul

Onion cafe is a very famous cafe in Seoul. Simply go to Anguk station and walk few steps and you can see beautiful traditional Korean house entrance or they call it “Hanok”. Come early if you plan to dine in inside the cafe as the queue can be very long or you can just walk in,order and dine outside the cafe. Doughnuts to get knotted

Doughnuts are especially popular among the younger generations (teenagers especially), and it is usually consumed as snacks. This shop offers a wide variety of doughnuts filled with roch cream such as Chocolate, vanilla, mint chocolate, kaya etc. This cute shop named Knotted is located at the old town of Anguk nearby Changdeokgung so it is usually packed with tourists (locals and foreigners) alike. Many who visited packs a full box of 5 or 6 to be taken away, shared among friends and families. Do expect to queue up for some time but typically it moves fast as there are staffs facilitating the queue to fasten the process. #celebratewithtrip #tripblazers

🇰🇷 Anguk station farming

Now, this subway station is interesting. It has an indoor greenhouse farming inside the station and you can buy their products from the vending machines. They even sell fresh salads and you can just buy them then board your train. It is definitely interesting to spot this greenhouse. This is known as Metro Farming. These plants are using hydroponic farming methods, which means the plants are grown in water. Instead of using natural sunlight, the plants are taken care of by LED lights. 🇰🇷 Cafe Onion Anguk

A very unique and beautiful cafe which was converted from a traditional Korean house.which is called hanok. The cafe is inside this hanok and you can see that everything has been preserved. You will enter this hanok and find Cafe Onion on your right then cross the step to enter the house. You will then enter the cafe and help yourself to the bakery items, join the queue and order your drinks. Then you have to choose where you want to sit. You can choose to sit outdoors on a proper table and chairs or inside the hanok whereby you have to remove your shoes and sit on the floor cushions. Machi Machi in Seoul

This is a good place for chatting with your friend in Seoul. It just take four or fiveminutes from Anguk Station or from bus stations. The drinks are very fresh and there are variety kind of cakes. With the weather warming up, many people are planning outings to Bukchon Hanok Village near Anguk Station. Today, I'd like to introduce Gye-dong Baeryeom House, a beautiful yet relatively unknown spot where you can enjoy some tranquility. This quaint house was once the residence of the Oriental painter Baeryeom and was operated as a guesthouse until recently. Ankuk Station's New Cafe and Clothing Edit Shop, Artist Complex.

🔆Artist Complex 📍 1st Floor, 8-2 Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul 📍Open daily from 8:00 - 19:00 The edit shop cafe opened by the owner of London Bagel at Ankuk Station. The exterior windows are wide open, making the coffee-making process look stylish as if it's a performance. The main focus here is on clothing design and music, which really enhances the space! Unlike Layered at Run Bemuse Artist Bakery, they've put less emphasis on desserts and coffee. So, I was actually disappointed with the desserts, but I think the space is nice to enjoy once or twice.

Open One Bakery Cafe @ Anguk Seoul 🇰🇷

#cherryblossom2024 When visiting Seoul South Korea, I chanced upon Open One Bakery Cafe which is located just round the corner from Cafe Onion in the Anguk district. Open One Bakery Cafe spans 4 storeys and has a great selection of pastries such as scones, croissants and more. It also serves a wide range of aromatic coffees. Not to be missed! My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!
