2. 🚩 Accommodation: There are many hotels and hostels around Angkor Wat for tourists to choose from. It is recommended to book in advance.
3. 🚩 Tour time: It is recommended to spend at least two days visiting the temples of Angkor Wat. If you have time, you can visit nearby places such as Ta Keo.
Main attractions ❗️❗️
1. 🎈 Angkor City Center: This is the most famous temple area, including Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm Temple, etc. You need to buy a ticket to the Angkor Wat Museum to enter.
2. 🎈 Bayon Temple: There are many pagodas and Buddha statues here, marked by mysterious smiling faces. It is recommended to visit in the morning when the sunlight can be projected onto the pagoda, creating a great effect.

“Sunrise Magic: Exploring the Wonders of Angkor Wat”
Angkor Wat is pure magic, especially at sunrise. Just a short ride from Siem Reap, I arrived in the early morning to catch the first light hitting the temple’s iconic towers—and it was absolutely worth it. Watching the sun slowly rise behind the ancient stone, reflected in the still water below, was breathtaking.
As I wandered through the sprawling temple complex, every corner revealed something new: intricate carvings, towering pillars, and hidden courtyards. The sheer size of Angkor Wat blew me away—it’s easy to get lost in the beauty and history here.
From the detailed bas-reliefs to the sacred atmosphere, Angkor Wat is an unforgettable experience. If you’re in Cambodia, don’t miss this bucket-list destination. Get there early, take your time, and soak in the ancient wonders—it’s a moment you’ll never forget!

Best sunset I have seen in my life 🌅
#bestsunset
#100waysoftravel #sabah #siemreap #baliisland
Seen the best sunset in my life in several places around the world:
1) Sabah
- The sun is huge over the horizon of the South China Sea and sometimes, the colour would not just be orange or blue. If you are in the city centre of Kota Kinabalu, purple sunset is the highlight of the town.
2) Siem reap
- It really depends on the luck if you would like to see the sunset through the ancient Khmer empire - Angkor Wat. If you cant see the sunrise, most of the time, you will miss pit the sunset too!!
3) Bali
- Sunset can be seen everywhere in Bali but I think Tanah Lot is one of the most beautiful spot to enjoy it and do expect huge crowds everyday in the evening hour😆

Angkor Wat
Visiting Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia was a profound spiritual and historical experience. As one of the largest religious temples in the world, this massive structure is steeped in the essence of ancient Cambodian history and civilization. I wandered through the arcades adorned with stone inscriptions that narrate the tales of Hindu and Buddhist mythology. The moment the sun rose over the temple's spires was an unforgettable and captivating scene, reflecting golden hues on the stones and creating a serene atmosphere. The temple is surrounded by nature and lush forests, adding a sense of peace and meditation to the grandeur of this historic site.

Angkor Wat is a Hindu-Buddhist temple complex in Cambodia. Located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares within the ancient Khmer capital city of Angkor, it is considered the largest religious structure in the world by Guinness World Records in Cambodia 🇰🇭.
The Angkor Wat is the most tourist attraction in Cambodia. Many visitors go there for visiting, so that it was considering crowded areas.
Angkor Wat, temple complex at Angkor, near Siem Reap, Cambodia, that was built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II (reigned 1113–c. 1150) of the Khmer empire. The vast religious complex of Angkor Wat comprises more than a thousand buildings, and it is one of the great cultural wonders of the world.

Most Impressive Temples at Angkor Wat 🇰🇭
I spent 2 days exploring Angkor Wat ~ the biggest site of temples in the world, located near Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
📍 Here are some of my favourite locations:
1. Angkor Wat - the main temple that everyone visits. Many people visit at sunrise for a beautiful view. Once inside, you can climb to the top and explore.
2. Ta Prohm - made famous by the Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie, the trees have taken back their place in nature with roots growing into the buildings. This one has loads of cool photo opportunities.
3. Preah Khan - a real hidden gem, there was absolutely no one else there when I visited. It’s a lot older and less restored, but that’s what gives it charm. This was probably my favourite, I was totally amazed here.
4. Royal Palace - once again I was all alone! The long path to the palace is perfect for a beautiful photo.
5. Angkor Thom - another well known temple, located in the Bayon. This was a big temple to explore (and get lost in), but I was actually more excited seeing the gate on the drive out!
INFO:
💰1 day ticket is $37, 3 days is $62 or 7 days is $72.
🎟️ Buy tickets online and print it in advance so you don’t have to go to the ticket office on site and queue.
🛺 I recommend spending at least 2 days exploring Angkor Wat. Hire a tuk tuk driver for around $20 per day ~ you can choose where you want to go, or take one of their routes.
🌅 In my opinion, you don’t need to visit Angkor Wat for sunrise. Get some extra sleep and check it out at sunset instead!

Life changing Angkor Wat, A Real World Wonder 🇰🇭 🛕
Angkor Wat has to be one of the most iconic landmarks in the world and it’s been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I’m finally lucky enough to do it!
I bought my one day ticket off trip.com, it recommend doing this to avoid queues at the ticket center. You will get contact details, send them information and a photo then they will send PDF ticket. Just show the tickets at the entrances, download the ticket Incase you don’t have service!
I flew into Siam Reap then got a taxi to the visitor center, there I had a guide waiting for me.
The complex itself is a vast collection of hundreds of temples, in various sizes and levels of decay. My driver took me to various places and gave me a brief history of each
I would advise going early as it can get very busy and very hot! Some of the temples offer shade, however most are fully outdoor.
I honestly couldn’t recommend this trip enough, however I would say do the 3 day ticket not the 1 day ticket. There is so much to see and do! You can stay in Siam Reap and then it’s 20 minute drive to the complex each day.
🕰️Business Hours: 7:30AM - 5:30PM (some smaller temples open at 5am, your guide should know)
💰Average Price per Person: £37 roughly for the one day ticket, I paid about £40 for a tuk tuk drive to take me around for about 6 hours
🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: Remember even though it’s hot, dress appropriately! It’s a very sacred temple

Have u heard about angkor Wat?
When u see the pics….the one that will blow in ur mind is PRAMBANAN TEMPLE….yeah….it looks alike but actually this is ANGKOR WAT TEMPLE
Where is it?it is located in siem riep, cambodia….It is one of the hindu-budhist temple in cambodia and the site measuring is around 163.6 hectars.
it is considered the largest religious structure in the world by Guinness World Records. Originally constructed in 1150 CE as a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Vishnu, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century.
Angkor Wat was built at the behest of the Khmer king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century.the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple-mountain and the later galleried temple. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology and is surrounded by a moat more than 5 km (3.1 mi). Enclosed within an outer wall 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the centre of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west with scholars divided as to the significance of this.
It’s just a bit of angkor wat but YOU HAVE TO BE THERE to see this amazing temple. At that time, i was going early in the morning to see the sunrise….i was picked up by the local guide in the hotel at around 4am….even i cant really see the sunrise, But I was really excited going to this temple as this one of my wishlist to be there
You can buy the ticket online so I booked it 1st one day before visiting the angkor Wat temple….it costs around 600 K IDR after the conversion froM USD. Just for ur information, everything in Cambodia use USD for the transaction

Give yourself plenty of time and carry an umbrella, it can get very hot. Also, bring along after and he most comfortable pair of walking shoes. This truly is a memorable experience, it's practically a city from back in time. #angkor #cherryblossom2024 #cambodia #history #siemreap

[Cambodia/Siem Reap] Angkor Wat.
I went to the World Heritage site, Angkor Wat.
The scale and beauty were breathtaking.
I highly recommend visiting at least once.
You have to start very early in the morning, so staying the night before is essential.
The tuk-tuk that attended us came to pick us up at 4:30.
We raced through the dark to Angkor Wat on the tuk-tuk.
It's still dark when you arrive at the ruins, but this seems to be for securing a spot to take pictures.
Everyone is already standing by at a nice angle to take photos.
As it gradually gets lighter, it's time to shoot.
It's truly beautiful! It's hard to put into words how the expressions of the ruins change little by little as the sun rises.
The contrast is beautifully captured in an instant.
The background sunrise changes rapidly, and before you know it, the scenery is different.
It's surprisingly cold in the morning, so it's better to have a jacket.
As soon as the sun comes out, it gets hot immediately.
This is something you won't understand until you see and experience it for yourself.
There are many other ruins in the Angkor Wat complex. There are various options such as chartered tuk-tuks and rental bicycles.
You will need a visa at the airport in Cambodia.
If you're anxious about the procedure, it's recommended to apply for an online visa in advance.
You also need an entrance pass for the Angkor Wat complex.
You can get an online pass in advance as well.
After entering Cambodia, you can buy it at the ticket office.
If you want to see the sunrise, it's recommended to purchase it in advance.
Angkor Wat is well maintained, but there is morning dew and mud, so clothes that can get wet and non-slip shoes are essential.
Also, you will be walking a lot inside the ruins, so you need to be equipped for long walks.
I spent a wonderful day surrounded by precious ruins that cannot be seen in Japan.

After 10 years of traveling, I have finally arrived at one of the Seven Wonders, Angkor Wat
Since we started traveling, it has been almost ten years now‼️ We have never been to Angkor Wat in all these years, and this May Day, we finally made it to the place we have always longed to visit.
📍Angkor Wat, located about 6 kilometers north of Siem Reap, Cambodia, is the largest temple complex in the world and is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Angkor Wat is vast in scale, with more than 50 temples divided into 3 circuits (small circuit, grand circuit, and outer circuit), and tickets are also divided into 1 day ($32), 3 days ($62), and 7 days ($72). If you're traveling as a commando, you can finish the tour in one day, but if you want to truly appreciate its essence, it is recommended to choose the 3-day or 7-day pass.
✅7 must-visit temples at Angkor Wat
1⃣️ Angkor Wat: Also known as Little Angkor, this place has famous bas-reliefs representing the pinnacle of stone carving techniques during the Angkor period, and the sunrise here is very famous.
2⃣️ Angkor Thom: Also known as Great Angkor, the ancient palace of the Angkor dynasty.
3⃣️ Bayon Temple: Famous for the 'Smile of Khmer', where you can see 54 towers each with smiling faces.
4⃣️ Ta Prohm Temple: Here you can see huge ancient trees growing within the sturdy and magnificent structures, where nature and time merge, creating a spectacular scene.
5⃣️ Banteay Srei: Here you can see very delicate and beautiful bas-reliefs.
6⃣️ Beng Mealea: An undeveloped site where you can see Angkor as it was a hundred years ago.
7⃣️ Phnom Bakheng: It is located on the top of a hill and is a very famous spot for watching the sunset.
Coming to Angkor Wat, my first impression is that the power of nature and time is really too strong, making every scene here unforgettable. 🍃 Giant trees rise from between the ancient buildings, and their huge roots tightly wrap around the stones, even for us who are used to seeing wonders, it's still amazing.
🌈Tips:
✨Name: Angkor Wat
📍Location: 6 kilometers north of Siem Reap, Cambodia
🚗Transportation: There is an Angkor International Airport here with direct flights, and you can also come by bus from Vietnam, Thailand, or Laos; there are few taxis in Siem Reap, mainly relying on tutu cars for transportation
👣Route: Guangzhou - Siem Reap - Little Angkor - Bayon Temple - Baphuon Temple - Phnom Bakheng - East Gate - Elephant Terrace - Preah Khan Temple - Srah Srang - Ta Prohm Temple - Prasat Kravan - Tonle Sap Lake - Bakong Temple - Beng Mealea - Banteay Srei

The most epic sunrise of my life ☀️
Catching the sunrise at Angkor Wat is an absolute must-do. Picture the sky lighting up with incredible colors over those iconic temples – it’s like stepping into a dream. Sure, it means an early wake-up, but it’s beyond worth it for that serene, awe-inspiring moment.
As the sun rises, Angkor Wat comes alive in a whole new light, literally. It’s peaceful, even with others around, because everyone’s just soaking in the beauty. After sunrise, the crowds and heat pick up, so you get to enjoy the magic in a cooler, quieter setting.
That early alarm is a small price for a memory that sticks with you forever. It’s more than a sight; it’s an experience.

The World's Largest Temple - Angkor Wat in Cambodia (Part 1)
Angkor Wat, also known as the Small Angkor (Angkor Wat), is located in a rectangular area within the small circuit. Don't be fooled by the word 'small' in its name; on the contrary, Angkor Wat is the largest temple in the world, measuring 1,500 meters in length and 1,300 meters in width, covering an area of about 200 hectares. Angkor Wat is considered a symbol of Cambodia and is also one of the earliest examples of Khmer architecture, witnessing the glorious era of the Khmer Empire. The name 'Angkor Wat' translates to 'Capital Temple' in the Khmer language, indicating its significance. In 1992, Cambodia was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and in 2007, it defeated more than fifty other candidates in the global vote for the New Seven Wonders, advancing to the final twenty-one.
Construction of Angkor Wat began in 1113 and took a full 37 years to complete, with the effort of the entire nation at that time. Whether in design, layout, intricacy, or scale, it can rival any of the world's most outstanding architectural works and is one of the must-visit attractions in Angkor. The outer perimeter of Angkor Wat features a 5.7-kilometer-long moat that surrounds the Small Angkor, symbolizing the ocean around the land; the rectangular inner city part of Angkor Wat measures 1,500 meters by 1,300 meters, symbolizing the Himalayas; the temple's central area has five main towers representing the five sacred mountains of Hinduism, with the central and tallest tower standing at 65 meters, symbolizing Mount Meru, the center of the world. The tips of the towers represent heaven, the dwelling place of the deities; the five main towers are situated on top of a three-tiered rectangular gallery, stacked layer upon layer like a pyramid, symbolizing the elements of earth, water, and wind at the location of Mount Meru. Inside the temple, there are nearly two thousand Apsara carvings and a large number of carvings depicting Hindu mythological stories, none of which are identical, all are masterpieces of extraordinary craftsmanship.
To visit Angkor Wat, one must first cross the moat, which is filled with water from the Siem Reap River. In addition to serving a defensive purpose, the moat was also used for irrigation during the dry season and flood relief during the rainy season. While crossing the moat, take a moment to notice the carvings on both sides of the bridge, which tell the Hindu creation myth of the churning of the Ocean of Milk. After crossing the moat, visitors reach the largest central western gate of the Small Angkor, which has five gates divided according to different ranks, and the middle gate was only accessible to the king at that time. Now, all tourists can pass through this gate and experience the feeling of being a king. It is worth mentioning that among the nearly two thousand Apsara carvings within Angkor Wat, only one has a slight smile with visible teeth, located near the western gate; visitors can try to find it if they have the chance (I didn't manage to find it).
Exiting the western gate leads to a straight central causeway leading to the temple of Angkor, nearly 500 meters long and nearly 10 meters wide, very imposing. On both sides, there are libraries, a common feature in many temples of Angkor. Directly in front of the libraries are two pools, which were once used for bathing before worship by the people, and now the pool on the left has become the famous Lotus Pond for watching the sunrise. The Lotus Pond is always popular because the water perfectly reflects the temple's silhouette, a common image on Cambodian postcards, especially before sunrise each day, when this spot becomes a coveted location for photographers and tourists alike.
In the next part, we will continue to introduce the main hall of Angkor Wat - the first, second, and third galleries, and we will also share tips for watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Please stay tuned.

The largest tree roots!
The tree roots at Angkor Wat in Cambodia intertwine with ancient stones, creating a mesmerizing and mystical sight. Towering silk cotton and strangler fig trees have grown amidst the temple ruins, their roots snaking over centuries-old structures. The most famous example is the Ta Prohm temple, where massive roots engulf the walls and courtyards, showcasing the relentless force of nature reclaiming the man-made. This harmonious blend of architecture and nature has become an iconic symbol of Angkor Wat. The intricate dance between stone and root tells a silent story of time, resilience, and the perpetual cycle of life in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Cambodia | "Would you go with me if there were multiple boat tickets?"
Zhou Muyun spoke to the corridor pillars of Angkor Wat, silently pouring out his heart. Wanting to love, but unable to; wanting to forget, but also unable to forget, not all worldly matters can be resolved with "cut, abandon, leave". Especially feelings, if not so, how could Angkor Wat, which has been ups and downs for hundreds of years, silently listen to the secrets of countless passers-by? If you also have unspeakable worries, why not come to Angkor Wat. "Would you go with me if there were multiple boat tickets?" (You really have to come and see Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, it's very safe and comfortable here, except for mosquitoes, and the hot day)

Explore the mysterious beauty of the 'Castle of Women', the Queen's Palace, in Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat, an ancient site known as one of the seven wonders of the world, has always been a sacred place in the hearts of travelers. The most mysterious place is the 📍【Queen's Palace】.
👸The Queen's Palace (Banteay Srei), meaning 'Castle of Women'. It is a Hindu temple located about 21km northeast of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, next to Lychee Mountain, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
The Queen's Palace is a magnificent building made of red sandstone.
👍The exquisite sandstone lintels and pediment are the most famous.
The pediment stands on a square door frame. The pediment of the Queen's Palace is particularly large compared to the door frame, majestic.
🎯The most famous is the bas-relief of the 'Dance of Angels'. These bas-reliefs are hand-carved by stonemasons, and every detail is full of artistic beauty.
It is said that the top of the Queen's Tower was once inlaid with a priceless ruby💎but it is now missing.
The Queen's Palace in Angkor Wat is a palace full of mysterious beauty. It is not only an important historical and cultural site in Cambodia, but also a masterpiece of art.
⚠️The Queen's Palace is part of the outer circle of Angkor Wat, a bit far away, it is recommended to take a car
🚗It takes about 60 minutes to drive from Siem Reap.

Siem Reap, Cambodia | Outer circle guide of Angkor Wat, it's really worth going!|||Finally start touring Angkor Wat
First checked in the largest outer circle
🎫Tickets:
The entire Angkor Wat can be understood as a joint ticket for the scenic area
The prices are divided into 1, 3, 7-day tickets
The 3-day ticket I bought (62 dollars) can complete the itinerary more comfortably
Choose any three days within 10 days
There are ticket checkers at every point
📌Route:
Queen's Palace-Beng Mealea-Bakong Temple Group
🚴Transportation:
I chose to ride a motorcycle, a total of 150km
The road conditions are good, it should be newly repaired many village roads
But it is still not recommended for people without riding experience to choose motorcycles in the rainy season
Muddy, prone to heavy rain
Renting a car is a more comfortable choice, about 100 dollars a day
Suitable for more people
1️⃣ Queen's Palace
The reliefs are super delicate
Didn't leave any blank space for the building
The material is red sandstone
Because it is not an official building, the specifications are deliberately small (the door is very low)
Suitable for careful viewing
2️⃣ Beng Mealea
The original jungle grows wildly
Shows the original appearance of Angkor when it was first discovered
Not repaired, I like the wild feeling
3️⃣ Bakong Temple
Belongs to the temple group, there are many temples around
It is a temple mountain style, and the central tower is also spectacular like a pyramid
The overall outer circle has different styles, love it!
Note: Just sharing travel spots, life fragments, pay attention to safety, if you are interested, you must understand clearly, consider carefully, and travel together.

Angkor Bayon Temple - a spiritual marvel
One of the most impressive temples in Angkor.
I came here in the morning before it opens by my bicycle. It’s great to see how the whole village of Angkor is waking up. You can see motorbikes full of things rushing to work. You can buy sweets from local ladies. And there is no light better than the morning light to enjoy this place.
It was very quiet and atmospheric. I could walk around and inside the temple’s labyrinths, observing the architectural masterpiece with four huge stone faces looking down on me from the top. I was impressed by the details and the beauty of the temple which was built so long ago.#cambodia #angkorwat #trip #buddha #freehotelstay

Angkor Wat - Seeing a Chinese inscription on a stone pillar (Figure 7)
Angkor Wat, also known as Angkor Temple, is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is known as the national treasure of Cambodia and is the largest temple building in the world. It is also the earliest Khmer-style building in the world. Angkor Wat is the essence of Angkor ruins and represents the early architectural style of Cambodia.
Angkor Wat is the best preserved temple in the Angkor ruins and is the pinnacle of Khmer classical architectural art. It is famous for its magnificent architecture and delicate bas-reliefs. Angkor Wat is a large and complex group of buildings, including bases, corridors, stairs, pagodas, all built with sandstone. There is no mortar or other adhesive between the stones, they are combined with each other by the regular shape of the stone surface and its own weight. The details are beautifully decorated. The stonemasons at the time may not have mastered the arch technology, so Angkor Wat does not have a large hall, the stone room doorways are all narrow and dark, and the artistic decoration is mainly concentrated on the outside of the building. The shape of Angkor Wat has become the national symbol of Cambodia and the pattern of the national flag.
While visiting Angkor Wat, I found (Figure 7) a Chinese inscription written with a brush on a stone pillar. The handwriting is neat, but a bit blurry. If anyone knows about it, please leave a message in the comment section.

The Tranquil Beauty of Angkor Wat
Nestled amidst the lush jungles of Cambodia, Angkor Wat emerges like a captivating mirage, a testament to the architectural prowess and spiritual devotion of the Khmer civilization. As the largest religious monument in the world, this ancient temple complex is not just a historical artifact; it's a sanctuary of serenity, a tribute to the divine, and a mesmerizing journey through the heart of Southeast Asia's rich cultural tapestry.
Approaching Angkor Wat at sunrise is a transformative experience. The first rays of light cast a warm, golden hue upon the intricately carved spires and reflecting pools, creating a scene that feels almost otherworldly. The temple's silhouette against the changing colors of the sky invokes a sense of reverence, setting the stage for a profound exploration of the sacred grounds.
Angkor Wat's architectural brilliance unfolds in its detailed bas-reliefs, depicting scenes from Hindu epics and Khmer history. The intricate carvings on the temple walls serve as a visual narrative, inviting visitors to unravel the stories embedded in the stone. The central towers, representing Mount Meru, the cosmic center of the Hindu universe, rise majestically, echoing the spiritual aspirations of the Khmer people.
Beyond its aesthetic allure, Angkor Wat is a living testament to the fluidity of religious practices over the centuries. Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, the temple later transitioned into a Buddhist sanctuary, showcasing the cultural synthesis that defines Cambodia's historical landscape.
