Early December was started with a roadtrip from LA to Denver. On the drive we stopped at Zion and had the most wonderful and refreshing hike. Every part absolutely breathtaking. Once we finished up the hike we stopped at a brewery that was in the town right by. Nothing like going on a fun nature walk and following it with a beer. This was a fun trip, and this park is one that can be done in any kind of weather.

Zion National Park is a must-visit spot on the Grand Circle tour. You'll be excited by the strange rock formations you've never seen in Japan. It's fun to hike up slowly! By the way, you can buy admission passes cheaply on Mercari and other sites, so you'll be lucky if you can buy one at the right time. #mountain climbing #breathtaking views #overseas travel #America

Zion National Park located in Utah. Very beautiful place to visit. If you love hiking this is one of the parks you should consider visiting. The Zion Park is not just for hiking, you can get on a shuttle to several destination points and just go walk in a park by the river or just sit and relax looking at beautiful, tall, multicolored mountains. We visited this park in April, the weather was perfect for hiking, not too cold and not too hot. The only thing I would say that we didn’t really like is that there were a lot of people that day, sometimes you feel like people were back to back or one after another.

If you visit this park in February, you don't need to worry about parking issues. There are parking lots for some trails, so you can explore without stress. The toilets are pit toilets, but they're not too dirty. I recommend going to the visitor center. I felt that the souvenirs were of relatively high quality compared to those in other national parks. It's not possible to see everything in one day, but I was able to enjoy several beginner trails in one day. The scenery is amazing.

As a travel tip, Horseshoe Bend can be visited early in the morning or at sunset to enjoy the colors more beautifully, and Zion Canyon may be difficult to use in the summer due to high water levels, so check in advance. If you go to Yosemite in the spring, you can see the waterfalls at their highest volume and their magnificent appearance.

The sight of tall rocks spread out like a piece of cloth was truly impressive, and I enjoyed the experience of walking while fully experiencing nature through hiking. On the other hand, Antelope Canyon was awe-inspiring in its fantastic scenery created by its mysterious light and shadows. Every moment the pillars of light came down, I felt like it was a work of art created by nature, and the unique terrain and colors were truly beautiful. Both places had their own charms, and I was able to deeply feel the wonders of nature while visiting.

The colors created by the light snow on the red cliffs were a unique charm that can only be seen in winter. The view from the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway and the Overlook Viewpoint was overwhelming, and I was able to leave in the morning and enjoy the calm nature. Zion in winter itself was peaceful and magnificent.

After taking in the nature and walking, we felt hungry, and the restaurants around the lodge served delicious food made with fresh ingredients. The grilled steak and fresh salad were really delicious, and it felt good to be able to see the magnificent scenery of the Giant Canyon once again while eating. It was a perfect combination to end the day with a delicious meal after a walk.

I was able to buy various souvenirs related to Zion Canyon, as well as local specialties and unique items related to the park. The souvenir shop had various items that reminded me of Zion, from small gifts to large items, so I was able to capture memories of my trip.

📍 Angels Landing👟 Angels Landing is a popular trail course in Zion National Park. Angels Landing is an advanced trail with an elevation difference of 453m and a round trip distance of 8.7km, taking 4-5 hours! ︎ What's tough is that it's all up and up on the way there... It starts with a tough switchback (3rd photo), and at the end of the trail you follow the chains and climb a cliff😇 So, if you're afraid of heights, you should never push yourself! ︎ To get to the trailhead, take the free shuttle bus in the park, get off at stop 6, "The Grotto," and it's about a 20-minute bus ride from the visitor center☺️ You need to show a special reservation ticket to enter the Angels Landing trail. At the entrance, show your photo ID to the ranger and then start the trail! ︎ After about an hour of walking along the rocks while holding onto the chains, we reached the summit‼︎✊🏽 From the summit, which is 1,765m above sea level, you can enjoy a 360-degree view🥹 It's no wonder it's called "Angels Landing". This time, I did a lot of research in advance and went fully prepared, so I was able to take on the challenge with confidence🫶🏽 In the summer, there is almost no shade, so I recommend starting the trail early in the morning! 🚗 The last national park of this trip, not too many surprises. It is said to be the Top 2 national park in the US last year, which feels a bit exaggerated. The entire park is built in a valley, with mountains, water, and forests. There really are a lot of people, and finding a parking spot takes half a day; it's also one of the few parks that require a shuttle. The park is famous for the Angels Landing trail and The Narrows trail within the park, both of which are fairly well-known trails in the US. 🚗 Visit Experience 1. Indeed, as netizens have said, there are a lot of people, reportedly the second highest in visitor traffic last year. 2. Parking is difficult, the largest parking lot is on the outside, and by the time we arrived after 10 am, it was already full. We were lucky to find a spot at the second stop, and needed to walk back to the first stop to take the bus. 3. There are a total of 9 stops in the park, private cars can enter the first three stops, and the rest can only be accessed by the park shuttle. The shuttle is free. 4. Around the fifth stop inside the park, there is a hotel, which you can consider if your budget allows. However, you probably need to book in advance. 5. Not all stops on the shuttle are two-way; the second and third stops only go one way. 6. To hike Angels Landing, you get off at the sixth stop, and soon after entering the trail, there is a checkpoint to check for permits. If you're only going to Scout Lookout, you don't need to queue, just go to the front and tell the ranger, and you can pass without having to wait in line. 7. Permits need to be applied for online in advance, and it is not recommended to take risks without a permit, as getting caught can result in a $500 fine. 8. The route from stop 6 to the pools along the other side of the river has nice scenery and not much elevation gain; it's worth a visit if you have the time. 9. Currently, the bridge at stop 5 is closed, so if you're going from stop 6 to the trail at stop 5, pay attention. 10. The Narrows water trail is at the last stop, and many people head straight for it upon entering the park. Be cautious of natural disasters and keep an eye on the weather. 11. You need professional waterproof gear and shoes, as well as a support item (usually a walking stick). If you want to hike this trail, make sure to allocate enough time, as walking through water is very tiring and there's no way to exit midway. Many people are seen wearing the same clothes and shoes, which can be rented in the small town outside the park. 12. Pay attention to the last shuttle time in advance, as it varies slightly with the season. 13. There is a tunnel carved out of rock on the way to Bryce Canyon, which is worth a visit if you have the time.

Grafton Is a small Ghost Town just south of Zion National Park in Utah, I have always been fascinated by the idea of a ghost town so we made a quick stop on the way to the national park. The ghost town is on google maps and is easy to get to, the last five minutes of the journey is off road but the road is very wide and east to drive on. As you enter the area on your immediate left is the graveyard, further down the road is the small town itself. The town consists of about 6 buildings including a church, the Grafton Preservation society has done a good job maintaining the area and you are able to enter most of the buildings (The church was closed on our visit) We entered the buildings that we could and took in the area, it was fascinating to see how life would have been back then. The town was founded in 1859 and survived against the weather, native Americans and disease until 1944. For me the most interesting part was the graveyard, there is detailed information about the people interred there and it gives you a good understanding of how hard it was to survive in those days. There was a high infant mortality rate, deaths from accidents and of course fights with the native American population.
