Beijing Ancient Observatory is one of the oldest observatories in the world and was built during the Ming and Qing dynasties in my country. It is famous for its complete architecture, complete equipment and long history. The observatory was built in the seventh year of the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty (1442 AD). From the beginning of the Zhengtong period to 1929, the ancient observatory was engaged in astronomical observation for nearly 500 years. During the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it was also an important place for cultural exchanges between China and the West, and enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad.
