The temple is built on the mountain, facing the plain, its majestic. The temple is divided into three entrances, consisting of the mountain gate, the main hall, the side hall, the apse, the east and west buildings, the bell and drum tower, and the stele gallery, all of which are arranged along the central axis. The front screens on the east and west sides of the hall are intricately carved and very delicate. The apse covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters and is one of the larger ancestral halls in the Lingnan area. Leizu Temple has a long history, and there are countless words in singing. Leizu Temple is located in Yingbang Mountain, five miles southwest of Leizhou City. The ancestral hall was built in the sixteenth year of Tang Zhenguan (AD 642) to commemorate Chen Wenyu (Lei Zu), the first governor of Leizhou in the Tang Dynasty.
