So, I’m not a big theme-park person, but decided to pay a visit to Huis Ten Bosch as I had an extra day in Nagasaki. On top of the rides (more for kids than adults), there are interesting museums and the grounds are well kept and nice. The day I visited, a Banksy exhibit was going on it was quite nice. If you have kids, that’s definitely a must-go place if you are in Nagasaki. It’s a good idea to rent a bicycle to move around as the place is huge.

This is one of the places that is becoming a new attraction in Sasebo. It is located past Tenkaiho from Sasebo city. You can see the whole of Kujukushima from the vast grounds, and the monuments are great for Instagram! Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. It recreates the streets of the Netherlands and has a theme of Europe as a whole. In Sasebo, Japan, there is a park with a strong Dutch style - Huis Ten Bosch. Huis Ten Bosch means the Forest House in Dutch, and it is not a problem. The theme park is built in a forest. Haustenborg recreates a medieval European town with windmills, tulips and canals, and it is very handy. The area is nearly twice as large as Tokyo Disney! There are matching hotels outside the park, various restaurants in the park, and shops are adjacent to each other. You can visit the surprises of one stop after another on a yacht, horse-drawn carriage or bus. Or sit down in a coffee shop and watch the parades and performances with local specialties. There are hundreds of thousands of tulips here, many of which I have never seen before. If you have time, please stay a little longer and enjoy it. A lot of Japanese people are dragging their families to come here for a holiday, and staying for a few days. Indeed, I strolled through the whole day and only walked through three out of four. This hotel is conveniently located just a 5 minutes walk to the famous theme park huis ten bosch and it is near to restaurants and cafes just outside the hotel. You will love the inside and out of the hotel as it is classy and luxurious and it's design looks like you're in Europe or Amsterdam. An onsen is also situated at the hotel's basement for guest use. We stayed in their twin premium room and I was more than pleased. The room was new and clean, with a modern feel. Beds were super comfortable and amenities were of a good brand. Spacious and big, that is another plus point and toilets were sparkling clean. Love our stay here!

I love that the sakes are neatly displayed and I love that the sake tour takes place in a small traditional Japanese hut. To get the best Akaushi don, you must visit Iwasaki Restaurant. Here, you get premium cuts of the red meat and a generous portion of it on top of your rice, served with onsen egg. I recommend getting their big portion or special portion, if you are a beef lover as the amount of meat can satisfy all your beef cravings. The meat quality and seasoning at Iwasaki is amazing and delicious. Go early as the queue here gets long. There's also free parking outside the restaurant which is an added perk.
