It was a trip to Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹 The city is a city full of charm and hidden gems 💎 perfect for those who want to go beyond the typical tourist spots. From quiet streets filled with street art to panoramic views over the city, there’s so much to discover here 🙌 We started our Lisbon adventure with a visit to Jardim do Príncipe Real, a beautiful and peaceful garden 🌺 tucked away in one of Lisbon’s coolest neighborhoods. The park is filled with century-old trees 🌳 offering shade and a serene atmosphere. We loved taking photos of the lush greenery, the ornate fountains, and the amazing view over the city. The nearby old buildings and the small kiosks selling local treats also provided some great photo opportunities 📸 It’s the perfect place to start the day in a relaxed setting. 📍Jardim do Príncipe Real – Praça do Príncipe Real, 1250-096 Lisboa, Portugal We then headed over to LX Factory, a vibrant cultural hub located in an old industrial area. This place is an absolute gem 💎 for anyone looking for unique photo ops. The colorful street art, quirky shops, and creative spaces all make for a lively backdrop. We spent time wandering through the warehouses, snapping pictures of the murals, and exploring the cafés ☕️ The atmosphere here is very artistic, and we captured everything from the worn brick 🧱 walls to the creative installations. 📍LX Factory – Rua Rodrigues Faria 103, 1300-501 Lisboa, Portugal We then visited Mercado de Campo de Ourique in the afternoon, a local market with a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to capture the essence of Lisbon’s food scene. The market is less crowded than some of the others, and the variety of fresh produce, flowers, and artisan foods made it a great spot for photos 📸 We took pictures of the colorful stalls and the beautiful displays of Portuguese delicacies ✨ The lively vibe of the market and the friendly locals made it an enjoyable place to explore. 📍Mercado de Campo de Ourique – Rua Coelho da Rocha 104, 1350-075 Lisboa, Portugal We also explored the Alfama district, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon. Alfama is a maze of narrow streets, colorful buildings, and hidden courtyards. We loved wandering through the cobblestone alleys, discovering small balconies adorned with flowers 💐 and capturing the authentic Lisbon atmosphere. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is a famous hilly city. The houses and streets are built along the slopes, with significant elevation differences. Often, the front door is on the first floor, while the back door leads to the second floor. This unique topography has given rise to many funiculars and elevators, the most famous of which is the Santa Justa Elevator (Elevador de Santa Justa). The entrance to the Santa Justa Elevator is located on Rua de Santa Justa. The exterior is a beautiful 10-story Gothic-style structure with intricate carvings and openwork. The elevator itself is made of wood and was completed in 1902. Originally steam-powered, it was later converted to electric power. A ride on the elevator costs €5.3, but it's free with a Lisbon Card. However, if you come too late, you might have to queue, as it is a well-known tourist attraction. The top floor of the elevator is an observation deck with a great view, offering a panoramic vista of Lisbon. It's quite impressive.

This open-air square in front of the National Pantheon spills out into the narrow streets of the Alfama district, where visitors can find a dazzling array of antique furniture and paintings, clothing, books and sundries. Hunting for treasures in the second-hand market is not only fun and interesting, but you can also enjoy the pleasure of bargaining! As for transportation, you can take the blue line of the subway to Santa Apolónia station, and then walk to Campo de Santa Clara, which is quite convenient.

Cafe de Rio also has something special, which is the red and green dipping sauces. The red one is tomato sauce, and the green one is mayonnaise. The flavors are slightly sweet, slightly sour, and slightly creamy, a novel and unique taste that I've never experienced before, and it helps to cut through the greasiness of the burger patty. There's also a place where you can wash up, so you can get a tan and swim on the beach :) ✔️Recommended places: Praia da Rainha Beach, Pedra da Nau Cliff - Cabo da Roca: The land's end village of the Eurasian continent, Cabo da Roca! It's a 50 minute bus ride from Sintra & Cascais, so it's a good place to visit when you're traveling to Sintra or Cascais. It's the westernmost part of the continent, so it feels mysterious. The sea is also really pretty, so visit it when you travel to Lisbon! The first recommendation is Dear Breakfast, a very famous brunch restaurant in Lisbon, especially the branch we chose this time, which is very cute. If you are lucky enough to sit by the window, you can eat while watching the classic yellow Tram slowly pass by. It is a very healing scene. Their meals are not only healthy but also really delicious. Highly recommended! After brunch, the next stop was the #Elevador da Bica. In the narrow alleys, colorful houses are matched with cobblestone roads, and there are retro elevators slowly moving upwards. The scene is full of romance (although there are also many people). Fortunately, we sat on the "throne" by the window that day, enjoying delicious light meals while overlooking the iconic red-tiled roofs of Lisbon and the Tagus River - so beautiful! After lunch, we walked to the nearby Miradouro da Graça, which is a great place to enjoy a panoramic view of Lisbon. Next, we headed to the very interesting Feira da Ladra (Feira da Ladra) Market. This flea market is only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The stalls are filled with antiques, handicrafts and second-hand groceries. It is a treasure hunting paradise full of surprises. If you’re keen on discovering unique finds, remember to plan your trip in advance and don’t miss this charming market! Walk down from the Women's Thieves Market to Beco do Maldonado Street. This hidden alley is covered with colorful graffiti and is perfect for walking and taking photos. Every corner can capture the unique beauty of Alfama. Next, we arrived at the famous #MiradourodeSantaLuzia, where the tiled murals and the vast views of the Tagus River are fascinating. Even though there are many tourists, it does not feel crowded or uncomfortable, but rather a lively atmosphere. Continue walking along the alley and you will arrive at #LisbonCathedral (Sé de Lisboa). This imposing Romanesque building is one of the oldest churches in Lisbon. The most classic scene in front of the church is to press the shutter while waiting for the tram to slowly pass by. Everyone must take a picture. After sightseeing, it’s time to get into shopping mode! The first place I recommend is Conserveira de Lisboa, a century-old store specializing in canned fish. The canned food here is not only fresh, but the packaging design is also retro and exquisite. It is definitely the best choice for gifts or as a travel souvenir. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the lively city centre. At dusk, the sunset glow over the #MainSquare (Praça do Comércio) and the #TagusRiver dyed the entire sky golden, which was particularly charming. If you're someone who loves to explore off-the-beaten-path spots when traveling abroad, be sure to bookmark this article. We had too many days planned in Lisbon this time. Most of the places introduced by blogs were already on our itinerary, and we didn't know where else to go. So, we turned to Google Maps for inspiration and found 'Estufa Fria.' Located within Eduardo VII Park, Estufa Fria covers a large area. To find the entrance, you must first traverse the entire garden. On a weekday afternoon, entry was free (so generous). The entire botanical garden felt very wild, almost like stepping into Jurassic Park 🤣. It's really vast. The garden is divided into three different areas: the Cold Greenhouse (Estufa Fria), the Hot Greenhouse (Estufa Quente), and the Sweet Greenhouse (Estufa Doce). Each area has its own unique plants and atmosphere, making you feel like you've entered different tropical and temperate worlds. The Cold Greenhouse boasts a unique natural environment without any artificial heating. Instead, it uses natural light and proper shading to create a climate suitable for various plants. In this area, you can see tall palm trees, ferns, and various exotic flowers, making you feel like you're in a serene tropical forest. You can explore every corner of the plants through small paths and winding trails. The Hot Greenhouse and Sweet Greenhouse, on the other hand, feature tropical and desert plants, including many cacti, orchids, and other tropical flowers. If you have ample time, I highly recommend spending some time here. You can feel the vitality of various plants in different temperatures and humidity levels in the sunlit green jungle. At certain times of the year, the sunlight reflects off the windows of the houses and illuminates the viewpoint. The tiled map near the railing was created in 1952 by Swiss artist Fred Kradolfer, who moved to Lisbon, and marks the visible landmarks of the area. It's also a free attraction, much better than many paid ones!

This is the best aquarium we have ever visited! It truly deserves its reputation as one of the world's top aquariums. The layout is fantastic, the tanks of marine life and plants are stunning, and there are some interesting and educational films. The largest marine life tank looks different from every angle due to its wonderful design and creative structure. I saw corals, penguins, otters, and various fish species. There were giant starfish, sharks, and eels, as well as tiny worms and jellyfish. I discovered creatures I had never seen before. They know their names and respond well to their keepers. It was amazing to see sharks befriending tuna and stingrays. There were huge manta rays and giant sunfish. If you have enough time, you can tour the aquarium in about 2 hours. It's definitely worth a visit!
