it was great weekend getaways in Hard Rock hotel desaru coast. it’s attached to adventure waterpark desaru coast where you can just walk to waterpark with multiple entry. we booked a double bed room with 2 queen size bed allowed you to stay up to 2 adults & 2 kids. that’s just nice for family. we got upgrade to rock loyalty room with the lounge facility . there is a coffee machine and bottle for you to refill the water using the special pipe inside the washroom. we hops to adventure waterpark on the next day we have lots of fun inside the waterpark. you can request a towel to bring into waterpark and returned back to hotel once you done. the breakfast & elephant & butterfly restaurant was great! one more tips! request a buggy to head over to Westin hotel for the beach therapy . we had enjoyed our weekend getaway here #weekendgetaways

Address - it’s easy to reach at this hotel via highway Senai - Desaru Expressway. The location is at Persiaran Pantai, Desaru Coast. Can’t be wrong. 😉 Ambiance/Facilities - Once me enter the resort, they offer exclusive yet very welcoming. Check-in was very easy. Their facilities was good. Pool was stunningly design. 📍Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas An unforgettable getaway as we move away from the city centre to a secluded resort by the coast. The resort is wonderful and chilling setting, it is surrounded by trees and away from the road. It was quiet and peaceful and it has a private beach for the guests, the sand is smooth and sea water is clean. At night, we can even see the stars in the clear sky. It’s time of the year where couples do things they usually don’t do, to express how much they love each other~ And this year, the man made a lot more effort (than past 2 years) to celebrate this day with me! Highlight of the trip was the stay in Hard Rock Hotel @ Desaru! The booking comes with: 1) A night stay 2) 2 complimentary mocktail drinks, which can be redeemed at the lobby lounge before 7pm 3) Complimentary breakfast for 2 pax 4) Complimentary parking 5) 2 Adventure Waterpark tickets during your stay The room was clean and lovely, with a nice balcony. After settling in, we went for a swim at the pool. When we were back in the room, I was surprised by the lovely setup in the room! The man booked their Valentine’s Day in-room dining package and was secretly arranging with the staff for setup and service! Great effort and service by the staff! And kudos to the man who planned all these! PS: we did not manage to go for the Adventure Waterpark due to heavy rain

📍 Itinerary Overview 1st Day - As soon as we reached Four Points at 10am, we tried to check in but as it was way too early, we decided to ride to my kampung, 30 mins ride away, Teluk Ramunia. Ride was good and road was clear and well maintained, with neaby Sebana Golf. Visited my aunt and Sis before heading for lunch at Yard & Co. (Review in another post) After lunch, we rode along the highway where we eventually arrived at the Desaru roundabout and followed the road to HR Hotel. Just wanted to see the Hard Rock vibes and shop. A Wow hotel. We spent abt 30 mins there and bought a tshirt (RM130) for keep sake. Finally, rode to Desaru Beach! The wind, very² windy, with sandy sands and entry costs RM4, from 8am to 6pm. Stayed for a while as we reached there abt 4.30pm. Not hot tho but very serene and no crowd. 2nd Day - Woke up and got breakfast at the hotel, 7am! A sumptious meal, lazed around, took a nap and check out at 11.30am We just wanted to see how the ride was and headed back to Mid Valley by 1250pm. We just followed the flow. Don't cramp your heads over planning as things will just flow. As much as I did tried to plan ahead anyway.

Having been to all 3 within the space of little over a year, here is a brief summary comparison of their relative strengths and weaknesses. Legoland, Pros: 1) Large variety of rides and sliders 2) Has more rides catering for family (4 to 6 persons together) 3) Wave pool turned on fairly frequently 4) Has a section for kids to play boat-building with Lego if they want a break from the water. Cons: 1) Limited rides for those looking for a huge adrenaline rush as the park seems catered more for kids and family. Adventure Desaru Pros: 1) Access to surfboards activities and coaching 2) Well-designed section for young kids with miniature versions of adult rides. 3) Rollercoaster and Pirate Ship land Attractions within the park. 4) Wave Pool is very huge Cons: 1) Wave pool is not turned on very often, about 3 or 4 times a day. Adventure Cove Sentosa Pros: 1) lazy river runs through caves and aquariums, keeping participants very occupied. It also has a section where waves are introduced in to add excitement. 2) Riptide Rocket water coaster is a unique ride with 4 drops. 3) opportunity to swim with fishes 4) wave pool is turned on very frequently, every 10 minutes 5) fair system of rotating float usage whereby those who just finished a ride have to give up the floats for riders in queue Cons: 1) Limited rides for young kids In summary, it can be said that no one size fits all. We enjoyed all 3 as a family.
