#holidayvacation The salt roads between Piedmont and Liguria were lands of passage for shepherds, pilgrims, muleteers, traders and travelers who, from western Liguria and nearby Provence, reached Piedmont and northern Europe via the Alpine passes, creating dense networks of exchanges. These were places of transit guarded by many watchtowers scattered throughout the territory. The territory between the Alps and the Ligurian Sea is characterized by a rich cultural system consisting of churches, monuments, castles, historic centers and buildings, "hospitali" i.e. places of rest and prayer, as well as paths, mule tracks, passages.
Most of the routes called "Salt roads” starting from Nice and Porto Maurizio (in Liguria), converged into “Colle del Cornio” (nowadays known as “Colle di Tenda”) from where they continued northwards. Also known as "Via Marenga". (i.e. "that leads to the sea"), the Salt route that passed through Limone was a characteristic mule track that, although it exceeded very high altitudes, did not present annoying up and downs.
Nowadays, the "Salt Routes" have lost their commercial connotation and have taken on an important role in outdoor tourism: hikes, trekking and mountain bike destinations, which allow to explore territories that are still uncontaminated and rich in flora and fauna varieties.
The Salt road which goes along the former military road Limone - Monesi is a route of medium difficulty, which reaches, as its highest point, 2,239 m. above sea level. Starting points can be the railway station of Limone P.te, with a route of 53 km, or the “Colle di Tenda” with 39 km. The arrival is in Monesi di Triora at 1378 m. above sea level; with a ring route, you can return passing through the French territory.

The cool blue color of the water is characteristic of this river, the steep cliffs that surround it, seem to touch the sky by hand. In the river Shala there is a rare beauty, where it is difficult to say only in words. The Shala River in the years of democracy has become a tourist destination for both foreigners and locals, from where many visitors describe it as the pearl of the beauties of Koman and Albania.
Shala’s River is a touristic destination the most beautiful pearl of Koman’s lake, as Thailand of Albania. The hazy color of water and it’s crystal clean water is characteristic of this river. The steep huge rocks, worn by trees and green plants, seem to rise to the sky to protect this beauty that so generously mother nature has offered to our eyes and hearts. What the Shala’s River offers can not be described in words, therefore Komani Lake, for all you who want to visit this wonderful place has made available, every day, small boats.

The Falensee (Falen Lake) is an incredible alpine lake situated next to the Bollenwees Mountain Hut in the Alpstein region of Appenzell. It can be an adventure in itself or part of several hikes nearby. The Bollenwees Mountain Hut, which is right next to the Falensee, is a great overnight stay and base camp for sunset and sunrise missions in the surrounding lakes and peaks.I visited the Falensee on two occasions. The first visit was part of the ‘Alpstein Three Lakes Hike‘ and the second occasion was at the end of the Hoher Kasten to Saxer Lucke Hike. However, you can also hike in from Brulisau just to stay overnight at Bollenwees and visit the Falensee.

Allmendhubel is a small hill (1,932 meters above sea level) above Mürren, overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Bern. You can easily reach the top of the mountain by taking the Allmendhubelbahn cable car from Mürren, with an altitude of 1,907 meters. The restaurant is also located near the top.
The Allmendhubel cable car departing from Mürren will take you up the mountain to 1907 meters in 4 minutes. Put aside your worries, admire one of the most stunning skylines in Switzerland, and let the children run wild among the giant flowers and oversized insects.
Mürren is one of the towns with the richest landscape resources in the Alps. The town can directly overlook the Eiger, one of the "three north walls of the Alps", and overlook the Lauterbrunnen Valley, one of the largest nature reserves in Switzerland. It's simply a paradise. After the snow season ends completely in May each year, the Alps begin to become a brilliant stage for wild flowers and grasses. From alpine narcissus to iris, from saffron to alpine gentian, from primrose to forget-me-not, they bloom one by one into a flower blanket. In early July, alpine plants begin to compete for beauty. This grand occasion will continue until the end of the edelweiss blooming period in August, so summer is the best time to enjoy flowers and also the peak tourist season in Mürren. People flock to walk on the flower path in Mürren.

Pushing open the window is the appearance of mountains and sea of clouds
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, tedious work, climbing mountains, touring lakes, hiking, tired and sitting in the cafe at the foot of the mountain.
The sun rises above the clouds, the moon falls on the earth, time and clouds will stop by your side
Dolomiti is simply the backyard left by God in the Alps, a must-visit treasure in Italy!
If you have enough time, it is recommended to stay here for 4-5 days.
You can live in both the north and the south, the hotel we chose is halfway up the mountain, and opening the window is the appearance of mountains and sea of clouds!
The first day we arrived, we soaked in the outdoor swimming pool of the hotel for an afternoon, watching a ray of sunlight in the mountains! I feel that everything in the world has become beautiful in an instant!
The dinner is as always rich, originally planned to eat quickly and then rest in the room, I did not expect to come up with one after another exquisite dishes, the dishes are very high in value, every taste can be said to be commendable
In short, Dolomiti has its own advantages in summer and winter! Every time I come here for a holiday, I am always reluctant to leave! Don't miss it for travel lovers~

Isn't it beautiful? The deep autumn of a Swiss town
The deep autumn of a Swiss town. Saying goodbye to the hustle and bustle and welcoming winter, the autumn here is just a slight change in color. The Alps, lakes, old wooden houses, castles, bell towers, these hardware are still there, just covered in snow color. Where there are sheep, there are shepherds, where there are roads, there are travelers, regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, what remains unchanged here is the local customs. The beautiful scenery where outsiders travel is indeed the daily life faced by the locals.

Beautiful Alps
One of the many scenic spots in the Alps. The ordinary rural configuration, the traffic is not as convenient as the big cities, and the population is not large. It is because of this that the original ecological sense here is created. The towering mountains, blue lakes and grasslands are all tailor-made for the small town by nature. Regardless of whether the tourists are like a weaving, the locals still live a simple and traditional life, chopping wood and climbing mountains every day, taking care of the grandchildren and serving the hundred-year-old mother.

France's most beautiful small town, Chamonix.
France's most beautiful small town, Chamonix.
Chamonix, the host city of the first Winter Olympics, is a vibrant town known for its world-class skiing and mountaineering. It is located at the foot of Mont Blanc in the French Alps, close to the borders of Italy and Switzerland.
The scenery here can be said to be the most magnificent for people in the French Alps. The huge and uneven mountain ranges tower over the small town, ancient glaciers spread to the bottom of the valley, and waterfalls pour down from the pine-covered mountain slopes.
The main attraction that draws tourists to this picturesque town is Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe at an altitude of 4810 meters. Visitors can take the world's highest vertical cable car to reach the summit of Aiguille du Midi at an altitude of 3842 meters in just 20 minutes. Another popular attraction is the massive Mer de Glace glacier, which can be reached by taking the vintage Montenvers train.

Hidden in the Alps, a paradise on earth: Yosemite, a must-visit place in this lifetime.
If the Alps are the holy land of outdoor activities, then this place is also a holy land.
The holy land in the middle, where steep white clouds float in the clouds,
The green grass of the alpine pasture and the sharpness of the Blade Peak, along with the small town at your feet.
Gentleness, together interpreting "Beauty and the Beast" of nature,

In this world, there is such a place that you can see every day, only the Alps snow mountains, grazing, villages, milk, wall clocks, leather boots, day and night carols, Baroque... This is the Italian city of Turin, if you can, Would you please spend the rest of my life here with me?

I heard about the "Alpine spirit" very early, I am fascinated by this spiritual realm, but people have their own lives. Later, I found that my physical condition is impossible to get involved in the mountaineering field, but this does not affect me. The admiration of the spirit of the Alps. Alpine hiking has been underway for many years and there are countless hiking trails, including the famous TMB, which is the most Alpine-style hiking route on the route. I think that choosing the most difficult hiking route in the Alps is probably the best way I can get close to this spiritual realm.

The life of an alpine hut is an addictive one. Although it takes a whole day to get to the residence every time, the pleasant mood of arriving every day is beyond words.
