The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shaki Khan Palace, was in full autumn foliage in November. I visited on a rainy day, but there were many trees with autumn foliage around the palace, so I was able to enjoy both the ruins and the autumn foliage at the same time by strolling around the surrounding buildings and admiring the trees. #AutumnFoliage

What traditional food does Sheki have? Piti This is a pottery broth with chickpeas, chestnuts, meat, candied dates, and a thick layer of oil. It tastes a bit greasy, but with aromas of meat and oil, it is worth a try as a unique dish here. Dovga I prefer to call it Azerbaijani vegetable porridge. In Sheki, Azerbaijan, there is a hostel, Caravanserai, that receives guests on the ancient Silk Road. The entire hostel is a stone cave building that traces the old times.
