I originally went for the fig tart that looks like a jewelry box, but the staff recommended the seasonal parfait with figs, so I ordered that as well. The tart and the not-too-sweet parfait made with seasonal ripe figs made for an elegant tea time. I visited a cafe called 'Room2 Coffee & Roaster' in Kakogawa City, Hyogo! 📍25-2 Jikemachi, Kakogawa-cho, Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture This stylish cafe is a renovated traditional Japanese house located on the south side of JR Kakogawa Station! The interior has high ceilings and is spacious, making it very comfortable! The staff were very kind, and although I only intended to have a meal, the desserts in the showcase looked so delicious that I ended up having cake too 🍰. I loved that it can be used for various purposes from morning to night, as it is open from 8 AM to midnight! Both the lunch and desserts were delicious, so I highly recommend visiting!

Reservations are available, and you can stretch your legs at table or horigotatsu seats. The Japanese restaurant Sato in Kakogawa is offering an incredibly good shaved ice half-price campaign. The shaved ice is half-price (Berry Frappe 548 yen → 273 yen). It was simple and delicious. #cherryblossom2024 The best sakura in Hyogo Hiokayama is a huge park in Kakogawa City near Himeji Castle. The Japanese like to have picnics here during the hanami cherry blossom festival. There are several unusual graves in the park, one of which is protected by an imperial decree. How to get there Hiokayama Park is about a five—minute walk from JR Kakogawa Hioka Station. The time of the rose gardens Hiokayama is a large municipal park. It has various sports facilities, including a basketball court and a football field. However, most of all, the park is known as one of the best places to admire sakura. Every spring in early April, cherry trees bloom here and the park is filled with people. Locals like to have picnics under the fragrant pink shade. Venerable temple and ancient graves Next to the park you will see a large Hioka-jinja temple. It is believed that it was built at the beginning of the VIII century. There are several ancient tombs near the temple — some of them are located directly on the territory of Hiokayama Park. The most important and famous of these graves, Hioka Ryo Kofun, dating from the 12th century, is protected by decree of the imperial court.

This is a popular shop loved by locals that is always crowded no matter what time you go. I ordered a grilled sandwich and a ham sandwich. The bread for the ham sandwich was sold out, so I got bread for hot sandwiches (thank goodness). Plenty of salad, plenty of filling, plenty of whipped cream, and of course the coffee is delicious. This is a recommended shop for Kakogawa morning.
