As you walk through Aeon Tebrau during this time, you will see many stalls set up to sell a variety of items related to the Mooncake Festival. One of the most popular items, of course, is mooncakes. Chicago Chicken City Fried Chicken
I decided to visit this place after coming across some promising reviews, and I must say, I was not disappointed. The fried chicken here has a delightful flavor—just the right amount of seasoning without being overly salty, and the crispiness adds to its appeal. What truly surprised me were their fries, which rank among the best I've ever had at a fast-food establishment. Additionally, the availability of free-flow drinks further enhances the overall experience.

Gogirou Korean BBQ
#malaysia
We tried this Korean BBQ located in topped shopping centre, which sells both buffet and À la carte set menu items. We chose the buffet menu as it only cost 62 MYR++ per pax and it includes a range of meat, soup, side dishes for you to chose from. We picked, lamb, rib eye, beef tongue, marinated grill chicken, kimchi tofu stew, beef bulgogi and fried chicken wings. There was also free Popsicle, and we chose a yakult flavoured one. They actually uses charcoal to bbq which is quite rare these days in malls, the meat serving was huge, we were glad we did not order more.

Zus Coffee
#malaysia
Zus Coffee’s has been popping up all over Malaysia and it goes by the tag line “ A Necessity not a Luxury”, which is totally what I feel caffeine is about haha, in order to survive work. The brand only started in 2019, which makes their success an amazing feat, and they are very popular with their app order. I don’t usually drink coffee but my partner does. He tried the buttercreme latte since it was the top picks. It taste a little thick which I love, something like butterbeer, mix with latte and coffee. In this outlet there are seating areas, and also basic confectionery.

Bawang Chagee 🧋
#malaysia
We haven’t been trying ChaGee in Singapore due to the price so we finally tried it in Malaysia since it’s slightly cheaper. “Bawling Chaji” originated in Yunnan, which is well known for tea making. The team from Chagee decided to reintroduce Chinese tea with a modern twist and thus decided on fresh milk tea. Which is why everything in their menu revolved around the different Chinese teas. They have three series which are the fresh milk tea, premium brew tea and fresh fruit tea. I order the white peach oolong milk tea since it was their No1 seller. It was really customised just right, you can taste both the peach and oolong milk tea. I was also surprised by their special straw. Which allows you to savour the tea slowly.

Oriental Cafe at Tebrau City
Address - Tebrau City, Johor Bahru
Ambiance/Facilities - There is Oriental Kopi at Tebrau City and of course Mid Valley Mall in Johor Bahru. There was always customers in line and queue at every hour of the day but it's totally worth it to queue as they clear their tables and crowd very fast.
Highlight - Oriental Kopi which has a loving nice aroma coupled with the rich taste of coffee, said to be the usage of high quality Arabica, Robusta and Liberica coffee beans, I must say this was great tasting. Other favourite of mine are Nanyang Curry Chicken Toast , Need Siam, Nasi Leak, Oriental Polo Bun, Signature Egg Tart

Rocky basement is situated on the 1st floor of aeon tebrau shopping mall and it is a child/family friendly indoor rock climbing gym. Adults pay RM33 while kids pay RM24 for 2 hours of non stop rock climbing fun. Plus, all climbing gears and shoes are included in that price.
Do take note that kids must be 4 years old and above to be able to climb the rock wall. Fret not if you have younger kids as there is a small indoor playground available for them to play and toys and train tracks are also seen. The rock walls here comes in different levels of difficulties but they are sure fun! I love that the rock walls are also colourful and nicely painted like artistic walls. So vibrant! Delicious PenyetPenyet.Com at Aeon Tebrau
This is so far the best Ayam Penyet set meal I have ever tried in Johor Bahru. This stall is located at the ground floor of Aeon Mall, just beside the grocery shopping area. I recommend trying their Signature Ayam Bakar Honey special Indonesian flavour and Ayam Penyet Grand (RM15.90 each). The portion was big, the fragrant rice came with a big whole drumstick and delicious sambal. Service was fast even though there were quite a lot of orders.

Good deals at aeon tebrau at night
We rushed over to the highly reviewed kibouken ramen at 2F of aeon tebrau after a fun day at toppen for our toddler. Though shoyu ramen with thicker noodles den Tonkotsu was surprisingly nice, hubby still prefers hitoyoshi ramen at mount Austin.
Don’t forget to go for llaollao after dinner as it closes 9pm and the queue was never ending. Luckily there were seats at the fountain nearby facing oriental kopi, which we didn’t manage to pack the egg tarts we spotted.
50% off the bakery opposite aeon supermarket near the main entrance when we went around 9plus. A lot of food inside aeon supermarket were also going for 40-60% off, including sushi, fried deli, lunch boxes etc so you could spot many locals grabbing the items.
We ended the night with a flower shaped cotton candy from the vending machine between the restrooms and main entrance, which was instagramable and delighted the toddler, but was too sweet for consumption

Thai Street Pop Up At Aeon Tebrau JB
Just right outside of Aeon Tebrau shopping mall in johor bahru, you can find a fascinating Thai Street pop up night market. It has similar vibes as those Night markets in Thailand, though smaller in scale. Here, you will be able to find thai street food such as your mango sticky rice, mooping, Thai roasted pork belly and so much more. I love coconut ice cream and I just had to try it, since it came with unlimited toppings. Just yummy! This night market has happening vibes with live music and even game booths. Tengage with tables and chairs are also set up so you can eat and enjoy the night away. Prices are not expensive and you can easily satisfy your Thai food cravings here. I would highly recommend all to visit this place if you're in JB.
