This was a stop on the Guided Heritage Tour by bus at Armidale. We took a long time here looking at the art on display which was amazing. Unbeknown to us, there is also a very important painting held here but not on display in the general area. You will need to ask to view this from an attendant. This is called the Apology Painting. The Visitor Centre has a small leaflet explaining the various references that are in the painting. If you have a spare 60 minutes then this is a place well worth the visit. I had just missed the tour around the grounds but heard a guide talking about bush tucker which would have been interesting. Nevermind, I got lost in the varied and beautiful art on display. A pretty cool gift shop, cafe and friendly staff made for a wonderful visit. I was told that the exhibition will be expanding and I look forward to revisiting when next in Armidale.
