- Basic Information: Located at 10 Shajing Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, it was once the largest slaughterhouse in the Far East. - Architectural Features: The entire structure is made of reinforced concrete. Four four-story buildings form a square, with a 24-sided, nearly cylindrical main building in the center, connected to the surrounding buildings by corridors, forming a "回" (Hui) shape. It adopts a beamless floor technology, with octagonal and square umbrella-shaped column caps. The ground floor wall base is built with granite, and the street-facing walls have beautifully patterned hollowed-out small square windows, featuring a Basilica style from the ancient Roman period. Among them, the cattle path, French spiral staircase, and lattice windows are very distinctive.
