[2025 Melaka Stay] Travel Guide for 1825 Gallery Hotel (Updated Feb)

🌟This hotel is an old building but has been maintained quite well and the design of the lobby is nice so as soon as you enter the hotel you can feel the boutique vibe. 📍Location of the hotel is excellent; Next to the Melaka river, close to Jonker Walk (where the night market is on the weekends) and the Red Square/Dutch Square with all the historic buildings, lots of good food options close by as well. 🌟The room was reasonably spacious and clean, airconditioned, bathroom is well-sized & equipped with basic amenities, and wifi is reasonably strong. - Some of the rooms look into the external courtyard or onto the blank wall of the adjoining building. The best and most expensive rooms look onto the Melaka river & with balcony. 🚘 The open-air parking is free for hotel guests but is not secured at night and can be quite tight to maneouvre into and out of the carpark. ✌🏻EXTRA TIPS: This is one of the expensive hotels in the town, but is still good value. Price per night starting RM180+ weekends. Although I enjoyed my stay here, However, i would recommend for traveller to consider stay here if you plan to explore the town as the hotel’s location is close proximity to many options & to enjoy the river view. This is a Boutique hotel that showcases the Peranakan architectural style that is situated at the heart of Malacca. It is very close to popular spots at the same time tuck away close to the river to give a calm and peaceful moments. Cafes are just across the river at jonker street. you can find famous cafes/bars like Hard Rock Cafe and the famous The Daily Fix Cafe [A MUST TRY!!] Along the hotel stretch, you will be greeted by the rich historical sites like the Red house, Museum and Forts. After a whole day of walking absorbing the portuguese history, you can head down to the mega malls to cool off and have some dessert, massage and shopping therapy. I do recommend you to Malacca for a short trip!

The iconic building is so beautiful, more instagramble photos can be taken here. The theatre is clean and classy, you might go through security check during entrance. #myhiddengems The 1825 Gallery Hotel is housed in a esthetic and well maintained heritage building, located by the riverbank of Melaka. The hotel is Balinese style mixes antique furnished, interior and decors. Onces we stepped into the lobby, feels zen and smells good too! I love our room which has balcony facing the Melaka River, and literally enjoy the cool breeze, scenic riverviwes and warmly sunlight in the morning. I also enjoy greatly the spaciousness of the room, comfy and cleanliness. The staffs were helpful and friendly, breakfast was awesome, price was very affordable as well, overall a wonderful stay! This hotel is at a very strategic place which is a walking distance to jonker street. Around the hotel there was a lot of food which included western food, asian food and a lot of cafes and bar also. The staff is very friendsly. Easy to deal with the hotel staff, they know everything and can explain how to go Malacca torism place and where to eat delicious food. During stay, the hotel is Hallowen decorations and combination of historical and modern design. The hotel is safe for solo traveller because this hotel is inside the town area and everything is nearby. Very close to main attactions and no need go far away. Save alot time and can visit more places around Malacca. This hotel is suitable for solo traveller, couple traveller and all family with kids.
