Ob Khan, Chiang Mai
Ob Khan National Park is located in Nam Phrae Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province, which covers Samoeng District, Hang Dong District, Mae Wang District, and San Pa Tong District. It is also the only place in Thailand where the Tricolor Orchid is found. It covers an area of approximately 302,500 rai, and is a limestone and igneous mountain, as well as various types of forest, such as montane forest, dry evergreen forest, mixed deciduous forest, pine forest, and dry dipterocarp forest. Ob Khan National Park is also the origin of Mae Wang River, Mae Win River, and Mae Khan River. The highlight of the park that everyone must come to take a picture of is the steep cliff channel, which is not very large and about 30 meters high. The Mae Khan River flows through the middle, and there are also various shapes of indentations caused by water erosion. The water level here is quite shallow, making it suitable for swimming.
