This place is basically a market and a train station. The interesting part to me was how close some of the shops were to the railway! And I don't mean 10 metres (32.8 foot), or even 5 metres (16.4 foot)! Think alot closer! So everytime when a train passes, the train sounds the horn, and all the vendors pick up their wares in a matter of seconds. Once the train passes, within seconds everything is back in its place. Over here you can try out some of their local delicacies, and purchase some souvenirs. While roaming around, you will find some local snacks, deserts that you may not have seen before and I would encourage you to try, like the bamboo sticky rice! So if you have the time, and don't mind travelling out of the city area (90 km away from Bangkok) , you can consider checking out this place.

#fallishere This is a place that you only see on TV. It is mind-blowing that there is a market right on the railroad tracks. I was very impressed by how quickly they clear the tracks for the train but even more impressed on how quickly they set us seconds after it passes by. There are only 4 trains per day scheduled to arrive and depart from Maeklong station, but it’s best to get there early in the morning, as some trains might be cancelled. Also, the market is more full at that time.

#bangkoktrip Interesting and unique experience. A market located on the train tracks. Very funny when the train arrives, the dance of the sellers and customers clearing the track. The problem is the thousands of tourists that flood the market. There is almost no space to walk. An advice: go on an organized tour. The market is far and difficult to reach. So it becomes much simple. We went with your group, we arrive timely. The train reach around 8:30am in the last station, which is Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub). We spent about an hour there and the train depart 9am. So we able to take pictures twice - arriving and departing. We have our nice coconut drink and snack there.
