I enjoyed every bit of this adventure - it was affordable, and the views were absolutely worth the hikes and early starts. Day 1: • Madakaripura Waterfall Stay: Bromo Terrace Hotel & Resto Eat: Bawangan Bromo Hotel & Resto Day 2: (started our day at 2.30am) • Sunrise point at King Kong Hill (only jeeps can access the roads there, and you get some cool pics as well) • Hike Mt. Bromo Stay: Urbanview B Syariah Lumajang Day 3: • Tumpaksewu Waterfall • Goa Tetes Cave Stay: ljen View Hotel & Resort Day 4: (started our day at 11.30pm the PREVIOUS day, slept at 6pm to make it to ljen before sunrise) • Hike Mt. Ijen - there's the option to hike down to see a naturally occuring blue fire, but there were too many people on that day, making the narrow path down quite dangerous. Yes, we were going for a horseback ride to the foot of the mountain! As we hiked up the stairs leading up to Bromi, the sky slowly changed colors from dark blue to shades of pink and orange. It was like watching a painting come to life before my eyes. When the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon, everything seemed to glow with warmth and beauty. The sight of Mount Bromo, surrounded by clouds and bathed in golden light, took my breath away. #WinHKFlight #winhkflight To me, Hong Kong is a place that offers an eclectic mix of culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! Although getting there is not easy at all, first you have to fly from Bali for an hour to Surabaya, then take a car for nearly two hours to a city called Malang, and then take a jeep in the early morning for another two hours to get to Bromo. But enduring the sleep deprivation and the super cold weather to watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds is totally worth it 😍😍. There, you truly feel the insignificance of us humans. From the viewing platform, you might think it looks small, but actually, the next stop is to take a jeep down to the black sand area, where from the platform it's just a tiny dot.
