Vintgar Gorge, one of Slovenia's most stunning natural attractions, is a must-visit for anyone exploring the country's breathtaking landscapes. Visiting Vintgar Gorge on a summer morning was a refreshing escape into nature's beauty. The cool air, combined with the gentle splash of water from the crystal-clear river flowing beneath the wooden paths, made the experience feel invigorating. Surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery, the sound of rushing water echoed through the gorge, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The sunlight filtering through the trees added a magical glow to the scene, highlighting the vivid turquoise hues of the water. It was the perfect way to start the day, offering both tranquility and a much-needed break from the summer heat.

Lot of people say that it's overrated but I think it is totally worth it! You can book your timeslot on the website which shows when should you visit, but generally there are a lot of people all day long. Walking through the gorge is one way only, takes around 1-2 hours depending on your pace and the number of pictures you would like to take. Wearing a helmet is obligatory, they are providing it at the beginning of the tour. It is even more beautiful than on the pictures, especially on a sunny day. At the end you can choose between two options how would you like to get back to the starting point.
