2025 Piacenza Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in February)

Surprisingly in this small city, I found Saturday market! I enjoyed walking in the Saturday market, they open every Saturday morning till noon, there are loads of things available! The street are filled with pop up stores, selling clothes, shoes, accessories, phone accessories, kitchen equipment, artwork, cheese, salami, fruits etc… so much more! I bought my earrings there, and my friend bought a pin as a souvenir. There are also necklaces and bracelets. I will go back again to buy some souvenirs for my friends there, it’s not expensive, and it’s like a treasure hunt for me, enjoy digging in and found something I love and irreplaceable from any where else.

What to do during weekend in Piacenza? I am living here for one year, to be honest there are nothing much here, it’s a local city with children, elderly and people working. Nothing special for tourists to visit, unless you come here for the theatres shows or exhibition they held randomly here. So, I still have to spend my year and my weekend when I’m off work, I usually walk around the city, it’s really save and relaxing to walk around, you will see many dogs owner walker their dogs, and give a smile will do, they are usually nice. The photo above are some streets I squally go around when I need to go supermarket. Piacenza is a really small city, you can walk around easily, yet you can always hop on a bus, they are very convenient too.

The best Christmas market I have ever been! Having the best vibe to get into festival people around are so joyful and with the decorations and building surrounded, you can enjoy the cozy vibe! All the Christmas songs and lights are going on and there are parades dancers dancing ! Simply take a bus from Piacenza and you will arrive this location! I was fortunate enough to live in the 1200-year-old Nandi Castle in Italy, where Princess Margaret, the sister of the Queen of England, once lived for ten years. Now the main building of the family castle has been converted into a private museum, showcasing the extravagant life of the nobility hundreds of years ago. Each room has its own story and subtle details, which are overwhelming. To visit the castle and enter the Duke's private residence, permission and invitation are required. We were fortunate enough to receive an invitation and took a tour with the castle's butler. The castle is so beautiful, with a flickering fireplace burning flames, emitting the scent of tree resin, and a hint of smoke. There are crossbows from a thousand years ago, a dream kitchen, and everything is a collectible antique. It's all a product of money piled up. You can feel the life full of ritual in the old aristocratic family, which is also a very rare experience! It was very satisfying to stay here for one night in this life. Next to the castle is a guest hotel and an interesting restaurant, but unfortunately it is currently not open to the public. Vicenza, Veneto.

Price per Person - 29€ for adults 19€ for kids under 120cm Rating - 4/5 Overall better than I expected, different version of maki are available! Hot meals such as soba, ramen and udon are available too! Don’t expect they serve like traditional Japanese restaurants in Asia, if you want a Japanese flavour in Italy this is a good place to visit. We order quite a lot, mostly are Maki, I would recommend order sushi with less sauce, the sauce topping are not my thing, they are more for European, and there are creative version of maki with cream and strawberries. They serve vegetarian version if you need. Overall not a bad experience but a bit too expensive for me.

Zelig Via Pietro Cella, 51, 29121 Piacenza PC They do pizza very very nicely! The good amount for one person, good thickness for me, not too thick that will get sick. Different toppings are available, their fried chips are really nice. Nothing can go wrong when your order is freshly make! If the line is not long, your order will be ready in 5 mins, if the line is long, especially Saturday dinner time, you might need to wait for 20mins. They do delivery, take away and dine in. The price is just right, not like other pizzeria that are expensive, enjoy the pizza with an affordable price and good quality!

One of the best gelato in Piacenza! They have special flavours all the time, you will never know what you can try when you go in, be ready to have some surprises! I try new flavours every time I go there! As you can see I have been there many times! Pistachio, hazelnuts and ginger are my favourites !
