I went to Bandung, about a four-hour drive from Jakarta! It's known as a summer resort, so it was a bit chilly. At Kawah Putih, a caldera lake, I could smell sulfur. Smoke was rising from the mountainside behind the lake. There were a lot of Indonesian tourists, and people taking selfies everywhere. There wasn't much water, probably because it was the dry season. If you go in the rainy season, you'll probably be able to see a more lake-like view.
