— A place to face the reality of the past. A space of memory and prayer resonating in silence —
The Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Oświęcim, Poland, was one of the largest concentration and extermination facilities of the Holocaust, built by Nazi Germany.
Located a few kilometers away from Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II-Birkenau housed a larger number of prisoners.
Today, it is a place where people from all over the world visit to learn and reflect on the truth of history.
