Oradea, Nagyvárad is fantastic
Oradea, (Nagyvarad) is a city in Romania close to the Hungarian border.
It serves as the administrative center of Bihor County and an economic, social, and cultural hub in northwestern Romania.
The city lies between rolling hills on the Crișana plain, on both banks of the Crișul Repede river.
Oradea features architectural styles from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including Secession (Art Nouveau), Eclectic, Romanian Revival, Neoclassical, and Baroque influences.
The city has occasionally been referred to as "Small Paris" in reference to this architectural heritage.
The walking street, Strada Republicii and the main square are fantastic with their palaces, churches, statues.
The most important buildings are Baroque Palace, Baroque Cathedral,City Hall,
Oradea's fortress,
Biserica cu Lună a church with astronomical feature, depicting the phases of the moon, Black Eagle Palace, Oradea State Theatre,
Ady Endre Museum, (Ady Endre was a famous poet).
At this moment there's a train replacement bus between Biharkeresztes and Episcopia Bihor.
Between Episcopia Bihor and Oradea the city bus is more frequent than the train.
