I already knew that this was a very popular tourist attraction. But I really didn’t expect there to be so many people. The original plan was to go here on Friday. Then go to Oita and Beppu on the east side of Kyushu. As a result, when I went to the station to reserve a seat with the JR Kitakyushu Pass, I was dumbfounded. I knew it was difficult to reserve a seat for the express train. Choose to go on weekdays, and go to Kumamoto and Amakusa on Saturdays. There were no seats at all. On the contrary, there were still two seats available on the first express train Yufu on Saturday morning. As expected, Yufuin is a must-see attraction in Kitakyushu. Then I'll change it to Saturday. There is a large parking lot at the top of the hill by car. Once you pass through the gate, you will find a large site on high ground where the sun shines down and you can feel energized. The shrine is long and narrow, and in December you can see the sight of the shimenawa decorations being replaced with new ones. The decorations change depending on the season, with large kadomatsu pine decorations, hamaya arrows, votive plaques for success in exams (pentagonal), and votive plaques for the following year, making it another new photo spot. The shrine is backlit if you point it at the afternoon, so mornings are popular, but it is recommended to visit and take photos around noon, when it is less crowded.
