When you take the bus to Oia, it will stop near the "Oia Bus Station". You will then need to walk. The "Panagia Platsani Church" is the starting point for most tourists in Oia. The "Nomikou Street" next to the church is the main road in Oia, with many local shops and restaurants on both sides. Walking west along the main road, you will see the "Oia Castle", which is where most people gather to watch the sunset in Oia. The sunset here is really beautiful. When the sunset appears, everyone claps and cheers. I think Oia’s sea view, sunset, and buildings are perfectly combined to outline an irreplaceable classic picture that fascinates and amazes the world.
Figure 1-4: Sunset shooting point - Oia Castle is the highlight of the entire Oia town. Every sunset, the platform of Oia Castle is crowded with people.
Figure 5: Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn
The church was originally built within the walls of Oia Castle. After the 1956 earthquake, the church was moved to its current location in the center of the village and rebuilt on higher and more stable ground.
The white building with a blue dome and arched windows commemorates an icon of the Virgin Mary that was found in the sea by a fisherman, who carried it to the church along with a priest. The next day, the icon was suddenly moved from the church to the castle. Every time the citizens returned the icon to the church, it was said to miraculously return to the castle.
Figure 6-8: "Church of Agios Nikolaos", the pink bell tower in front of the blue-domed church is quite rare in Santorini.

I met a Japanese and we had fun there
View of Oia city
After playing in the water, we traveled to our new accommodation in Oia with our luggage packed in the back of the car, which led to the first peak of the trip. The incident at that time was that we turned into the wrong alley and when driving back to the main road, which was quite steep, it turned out that the car could not go up because it was probably too heavy. We had to pull the handbrake and have the 3 people sitting in the back seat get out of the car before we could continue. We thought the car would slide down.
After moving our stuff into the new accommodation, we walked around the city and watched the sunset. Let me tell you, there were a lot of people. You can see it from the pictures.
In addition, we tried to find a photo spot with 3 churches lined up, according to the references we got from IG and postcards. We spent quite a while looking until the light was getting less and less. Finally, we found it by asking people along the way. The spot I meant was near the Bvlgari store.

The host is very welcoming! The scenery is fascinating and very suitable for friends who want to vacation in Santorini. But the bedding is a bit rough, it would be better if it was replaced with softer and skin-friendly ones.
Sunset Cruise Santorini
I would 100% recommend a small group sunset cruise in Santorini. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. #santorini #sunset
Oia, Santorini
What is a trip to Santorini without going to Oia? Oia is a beautiful place where tourists go there for the sunset. It is easily accessible, there is no need to rent a car. I took a bus at Fira for €2 and there i was in Oia. It was abit too cloudy on the day i visited Oia so i couldnt really see the sunset but it is still a place everyone should visit. Many instagramable photos can be taken there.

Traveling to Santorini
Santorini was nice experience for me and i do experience the best sunset in my entired life on the boat in the Atlantic ocean from Santorini.
Honestly i was only stay for 3 days thinking this island is too touristics and it was too short because i did not expect that it's turns into great adventours.
What do I wish i know before visiting?
- The caldera villages of Imerovigli and Oia offer the best vistas.
- Invest time in visiting the volcano and the wineries.
- Witness the sunrise and sunset of Santorini.
- The eastern and southern Santorini offer optimal bays.
- Rent a vehicle for easy transportation.
- Santorini gets fully booked in the summertime, so plan your stay much in advance.
- Island-hopping is excellent when you have more than three days of vacation.

Ammoudi is
Ammoudi is the charming port of Oia in Santorini, a tiny settlement with just a few traditional buildings built around the natural bay. In Ammoudi, there are port services and a few taverns. Several fishing and tour boats moor there during the summer, creating a very picturesque scenery.
Ammoudi is encircled by the impressive high red cliffs and it is considered the most picturesque area of Santorini. Approximately 300 narrow and steep steps lead the way between Ammoudi and Oia. A small rocky beach stands right next to Ammoudi, ideal for snorkeling. Several tour boats stop in Ammoudi on the way to Thirassia islet and the famous volcano.

The two main towns in Santorini are Oia and Fira towns. It is recommended to live in Oia, because there will be waves of people in Oia during the day. If you stay in Oia, you can start in the morning. I turned around in the town, and it was the most clean and laid-back.
Our wedding photos were taken in Oia Town. It is really a very tiring job to take a wedding dress. It used to be beautiful and it was not the case! Because the surrounding buildings are all white buildings, the reflection is very powerful, I almost can't open my eyes, and the weather in May is very hot. Later, I asked our landlord. In fact, September is the best season to take pictures, not so hot, days. It is also relatively blue.
If it is not for a wedding dress, it is very pleasant, and it is warm to the sea. But remind me that the town of Oia is going uphill and downhill. It is not very convenient to walk. It is recommended to wear the shoes of the tourist shoes~ The romantic love sea of Santorini Oia, definitely worth a visit with the loved one!

The most hearty meal in Greece is undoubtedly the old pier in Santorini. This family restaurant is an orange seat, the boss is warm and hospitable, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. The environment of the restaurant, in the open-air old pier, looking at the clear sea, the small waves hit the reef. This oversized seafood salad is only 12 euros, with different varieties of shrimp, green mussels, crab meat, small octopus, squid, with lettuce and small tomatoes. For me, a salad is enough. This dish is grilled octopus with olive oil. The taste of the octopus is a bit of chewing when biting down, a bit like the dried fish that you eat when you were young. Especially the chewing of the tail and back, there is a lot of fun after the food is baked. The taste is coke, and olive oil is the right benefit for lubrication. If you can live here every day, watching the beautiful scenery and eating a big meal should be wonderful.

Always remember that Greece at the beginning of the new year is not cold at all. Before leaving it, I woke up at five in the morning. Fortunately, the road in Oia Town was very simple. I was blind again and I knew each other on the two straight roads. I gently pushed the door open and glared at my camera to see if there was any scenery I missed.
As a result, I got the most beautiful view of the Oia town in these days. Out of the hotel, the small island in the early morning was empty, and this clean gave me enough calm to savor. Familiar scenery, different feelings, quiet and far-reaching, even the changes in the light of the clouds make me think this is a different picture.

The small shops in Oia are selling artworks, which are expensive and beautifully crafted. However, as long as there is such a deep sea, there are Zhangyang Sanyemei and a blue sky, everyone can enjoy this paradise trail. This is our hottest day in Santorini, the sun is the strongest day. Fortunately, the life on the island is a pure holiday. We went back to the hotel to have a little coffee, air-conditioned chat, and prepared to go to the old port at night. seafood feast.

Everyone said that the sunset in the small town of Oia in Santorini is the most beautiful sunset in the world. In fact, I think it is more or less subjective. Watching the sun slowly go down to the sea, my girlfriend and I came to the Great Barrier Reef to watch the platform of the sunset, just like the grandfather at the front desk said, at least a few hundred people gathered here, hurriedly, the beauty is indeed beautiful, but perhaps it was yesterdays Mishima The setting sun has been very enjoyable. I did not find the uniqueness here. I have not been to many places. In my heart, the first place is the Mykonos yesterday, the second is Taiwan Kenting, and the third is Florence. Perhaps this ranking will slowly refresh as the turtle speeds around the world.

Looking through the travels of Santorini, you will definitely see an iconic building - a white windmill, in fact, it is also a hotel - Golden Sun.
Golden Sun is located in Oia town, the closest to the sunset, close to the parking lot, eliminating the hassle of dragging luggage on the stone road.
The hotel has a lot of room types, but there is only one windmill room, I am honored to be booked by me. The
room is divided into three floors, the living room and kitchen on the first floor, the bedroom and bathroom on the second floor and the attic on the third floor. Compared to the appearance of the mirror, the interior is somewhat old.
The biggest advantage of living in Golden Sun is that you can take a photo with the windmill! Very good!
The only downside is that during the day there are always tourists taking pictures of the windmill, especially at sunset, the balcony sitting in front of the windmill will be somewhat disturbed.
The town o
The town of Oia is on the westernmost volcanic cliff of Santorini,
The white church here reflects the Aegean Sea,
beautiful scenery and romantic atmosphere is also called the most beautiful sunset on the island. The reason for the sunset!
The houses in the town are almost all white walls,
locals were able to build houses at will,
but later because the government believes that if the locals continue to overbuild the house may be the island The tourism industry began to have a negative impact,
, so the island residents have now completely stopped building their own houses.
Occasionally, some non-white wall buildings can be seen on the island, but they are also light in color and very few in number.
