The small
The small town of Obernai, not far from Strasbourg, is the agar of Alsace, France.
Obernai under the Vosges Mountains has long been one of the famous towns on the Alsace Wine Route. The small town is not big, the resident population is only 10,000, but the history is quite related. - A long time ago, it was once the territory of the Holy Roman Empire. Large-scale vineyard cultivation began in the ninth century AD more than 1,000 years ago. By the way, this is the birthplace of Sainte Odile, the queen of Alsace.
When we arrived in Obernai from Strasbourg, the weather was already fine. The town under the blue sky and white clouds is even more charming. This small town still retains the 13th and 14th century old city walls - the city walls are still two, both inside and outside, although not high, but the arrow towers and towers that have survived to this day still remind visitors of the heavy history here. Like Strasbourg, which is close at hand, this small town has been swaying between France and Germany.
The center of Obernai is the 700-year-old Town Hall Square. The City Hall, the remaining bell tower of the 13th century church, and the fountains built in 1904 are gathered around this small square. There is also a Gothic church in St. Peter and St. Paul in the town, but history is not long and was rebuilt in the 19th century.
How can I not taste the wine in Obernai? We visited a winery here, the winery is not big, the history is quite long, the dry white and the dry red are very authentic, the price is also expensive, and the local bread and wine is not a flavor.
