Shofukuji Temple
If you love history and Zen Buddhism, Shofukuji Temple is a must-see! It’s Japan’s very first Zen temple, founded in 1195, and it has a deep sense of tranquility. The temple grounds are spacious, with classic Zen-style architecture, moss-covered stone paths, and well-manicured gardens. Unlike some other temples, visitors can’t enter all the buildings, but just walking around and taking in the peaceful atmosphere was worth it. I loved seeing the large wooden gates and the beautiful koi pond. It’s not as crowded as some of the other temples in Fukuoka, which made the visit even more special. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, and appreciate the beauty of Zen design. If you’re looking for a quiet, spiritual escape in the city, this is the perfect place to visit. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Japanese culture and history!

Sangosho, located in Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, is a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes while taking in the beautiful view of Engetsuto Island.
The attraction is that you can taste the rare "Kue" and "Kutsuebi" grouper, specialties of Wakayama!
The grouper has firm flesh and a refined flavor, while the Kutsuebi is rich and sweet. Both have a special flavor that can only be found in Wakayama.

I enjoyed Wakayama when my parents came to Japan.
Sandanbeki
I was impressed to be able to see inside the cave that sailors used in the past.
The cave is 200 meters deep, but it costs 2,000 yen per person, which is a little pricey?
But I think it's recommended for first-time visitors.
Nagomi no Yu Kachou Fuugetsu
It's about 10-15 minutes by car from Sandan Station and Senjojiki,
and although it's a little up the mountain, the view is amazing.
I ordered a plan that included two meals, so I was very satisfied with seafood and A5 Kumano beef for dinner.
Even though I ordered the senior course because I was with my parents, I was full and couldn't finish it.
On the second day, I went to Toretore Market and bought a lot of seafood to take home.
It's about 150km away (2.5 hours one way) from Osaka (with a 30-minute break), so you can easily drive there by car, so please go and check it out.
