The first stop in Puer, I chose Nake Li (a small village or ancient town) Nake Li is an important station on the ancient Tea Horse Road of the old Puer Prefecture and was once the 'first stop' for Puer tea heading to Southeast Asia. How did I discover such a niche attraction? Probably because I particularly like these ancient villages, ancient towns, and ancient forts. It is said to be very inconvenient to come from Puer city, so I rented a car and drove 20 kilometers through winding mountain roads to get here (you can navigate to 'Nake Li Tea Horse Station' or 'Nake Li Tea Horse Road', there is a large paid parking lot by the roadside at the village gate). It is not the peak tourist season now, and Nake Li is not a famous attraction, so this small village has very few tourists, and the shops are mostly closed. Overall, it takes about an hour to tour the ancient village, no tickets are needed, but there is a horse riding experience project in the village. If you ride a horse, it will take more than an hour and cost money. I admire the not-so-well-preserved Tea Horse Road ruins. It was amazing how people could transport goods through these mountain roads in ancient times. There are very few tourists here, making it perfect for slowing down. However, I might not have felt the caravan culture and Puer tea culture. Before leaving, I had a cup of Puer tea roasted milk, and I was very satisfied. The villagers here are simple and enthusiastic, their pace of life is leisurely and comfortable, as if time itself slows down here. This town is about 25 kilometers from the downtown area of Pu'er, roughly a 30-minute drive. You can stroll around leisurely for an hour here, feeling that unique tranquility and harmony. If you get tired, why not find a restaurant that serves caravan cuisine and taste the local delicacies? The flavor will definitely satisfy you. Jingmai Mountain! A great place to unwind on the weekend

It takes nearly four hours to get there by highway from Pu'er city center. The commercialization of the scenic area is just right, providing basic needs without annoying tourists. The key is they don't overcharge! So far, it's one of the scenic areas I like the most. We randomly chose a restaurant in Nuogan Ancient Village for a meal, and it was delicious without any disappointments. Recommended dishes are grilled pork belly, grilled fish, and stir-fried tea leaves with eggs. They are quite distinctive and very tasty. The most common phrases we said while at Jingmai Mountain were: so beautiful, so delicious, so nice to drink. Interestingly, aside from the grilled meat and fish, all other dishes were packed and brought over by the owner from their home after we ordered. The owner would brew tea for us during the meal, including Dianhong, raw Pu'er, ripe Pu'er, and white tea. Personally, I recommend the white tea; even someone who doesn't like tea would find it good. The owner mentioned that spring tea is better than autumn tea, so everyone can choose their travel time accordingly. The greening inside the ancient village is wonderful, and the residents' pace of life is very slow. On the way down the mountain, you can stop at the viewing platform to take photos and check in, as the scenery is particularly beautiful. These homestays are very homely; you'll eat corn and such grown in their own fields, and drink their own tea. The hosts are simple and sincere, and the tea processing workshop is also next to the homestay. If you want to visit or experience it, the host will introduce it enthusiastically. The villages are far from the county town, so if you're picky, prepare your own toiletries. The food in the village is very simple, all home-cooked dishes: clear soup with free-range chicken, stir-fried tea leaves with eggs, stir-fried cured meat are all quite delicious. You can usually eat at the homestay, but you should tell the host in advance how many people there are. If you want to see the Tea King Tree, it's best to have a local, preferably the homestay host, lead you there. Do not pick tea leaves at random by the roadside; locals do not like it, and fresh tea leaves cannot be consumed immediately. The owner is very hospitable; whether you buy anything or not, you can sit down and enjoy a tea tasting. According to the owner, all the tea is grown by his family, with good quality and reasonable prices. In addition to tea, there are also several coffee experience halls, all offering a pleasant experience. We arrived around 11 a.m. and played for about two hours, not having enough time to see everything. If you have more time, you can stroll around the town at leisure, experiencing the blend of Eastern and Western cultures through tea and coffee.
