You can see the Tianhou Temple as soon as you get off the bus in Magang. At the beach area near the sea in Tianhou Temple, you can see the exhibits of Matsu Art Island, which look like big whales tied with wire. The huge Mazu statue can be reached from the prayer tunnel or the outdoor stairs. The outdoor stairs are very steep, but after climbing them with reverence and seeing the statue of Mazu, a sense of awe as a pilgrim arises spontaneously.
