Quanzhou Liuguan Road snacks, these few are enough!!
Recommended by a local Quanzhou resident~ These snacks are enough, and they are all popular with locals!!
1⃣️ Chicken Steak Master
My favorite!! You must try it when you come to Liuguan Road. Highly recommend the secret chicken gizzards. It's really delicious!! The sauce is a bit like a combination of satay sauce and peanut sauce, with a bit of spiciness. The taste is really good~ And the chicken rack is so big!! The bones are crispy, and there is a lot of meat on the chicken rack~ Pair it with a bowl of mung bean adzuki beans to cool down!! It's the kind of food that makes you forget about it~~ You can't go wrong with this shop!!
2⃣️ Qiqi Mianxian Paste
Opposite the Chicken Steak Master~ The more broken the shop, the better the food. Mianxian paste in the morning is a must for Quanzhou people!! Recommended with vinegar meat, large intestine, tofu~ And remember to order a fried dough stick!
3⃣️ Floating Cake
Inside is oyster 🦪 3 yuan for a super big one. Many locals come to this shop to eat~ It's the kind of food that you have to keep looking for even after moving away.
4⃣️ Linji Mung Bean Cake
If you want to bring a gift, choose this one~ The shop not only has mung bean cakes, but also has a long history of craftsmanship. The filling is thin and the skin is crispy. Locals don't like to eat too sweet, so don't worry about it being too sweet~~

Quanzhou Nan'an Kui Xia Village|A Charming Ancient Village Full of Treasures
📍Located in Shijing Town, Nan'an City, the founding ancestor moved here in the first year of the Baoyou reign of Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty, with a history of 770 years.
🏠Here, you will find the uniquely styled Lin Clan Ancestral Hall, exquisitely carved, showcasing the charm of history. Over a hundred overseas Chinese residences are scattered around, and the 'Kui Xia Architectural Complex' is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit. Many 'Fan Zai Lou' buildings are distinctive, blending Nanyang and Minnan styles, witnessing the struggles and homesickness of overseas Chinese.
🌳The natural scenery is breathtaking, with the village facing the sea to the south and only 5.6 nautical miles from Kinmen. Oyster shells are piled along the roadside, and the abrupt Kuiyu reefs create a unique coastal landscape.
🥘In terms of food, Minnan flavors like oyster soup are unforgettable.

Explore the 'Secret Peach Blossom Land' of Quanzhou, Nan'an Jiudu! Check-in at the same photo spot as Li Xian!
Got it. Here is the revised text:
🚗 Visit the secret land outside the ancient city of Quanzhou, return to Jiudu in Nan'an, and explore the same check-in spot as Li Xian at Shanmei Reservoir. Stroll between the green mountains and clear waters, feeling the gentle breeze.
🏞️ Jiudu, located about 40 kilometers northwest of the ancient city of Quanzhou, is a beautiful town in Fujian Province and a national-level ecological town. It is connected to Yongchun Dongguan Town, and people live around Shanmei Reservoir, known as the 'Life Reservoir of Quanzhou People'.
📸 Starting from the ancient city of Quanzhou, head north along the Quannan Expressway or the Zongsan Line. After about an hour's drive, you will reach Nan'an—Jiudu. To reach the paragliding take-off spot, the same check-in spot as Li Xian, navigate to Zhuoyun Mountain. There is a long and steep winding mountain road, so be extra careful!
🌳 When you arrive at Jiudu, you will find that every rural scenery here is unbelievably beautiful. In some ways, the lakes and mountains of Jiudu may even rival Erhai.
🌳 Jiudu boasts the highest forest coverage rate in the entire Quanzhou, reaching 88.1%, with tens of thousands of acres of forest. The air here is fresh, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It not only has mountains, water, and farmland but also a rare beautiful lake view.
🤩 It must be said that Li Xian's 'Spring Colors Sent to Lovers' is truly a 'Quanzhou Cultural Tourism Promotional Film'. If you have time on the weekend, you can plan a trip to Quanzhou's 'Little Erhai' Jiudu for a leisurely walk.

Quanzhou Travel Accommodation Share, a homestay with many trees
The first stop of the Quanzhou family trip in 2024, we stayed in a very cozy homestay, and I couldn't wait to share it.
🌃We arrived in Quanzhou very late, and to give the child a better rest, we booked this homestay near the high-speed train station.
It's a little over a kilometer walk from the station, or you can take a taxi.
🌝After checking in at night, we stayed in a family room and found that this type of room is really suitable for staying with children, very clean, with a simple style.
After washing up at night, the family watched a movie together with a projector.
Unexpectedly, the mattress of the homestay is comparable to that of a star-rated hotel. We fell asleep quickly as soon as we lay down, and had a very solid sleep, waking up refreshed the next day.
🌞Upon waking up, it was a sunny day, and looking out the window, I found it to be a very quiet and orderly village, with unique buildings, experiencing the life of the people in southern Fujian up close.
Taking a walk downstairs with the child, there is a public library in the lobby with many books,
🫖and an area for making Kung Fu tea. This tea table is in the unique stone style of southern Fujian, with some goldfish raised in the middle, combining motion and stillness, winding streams, and to my surprise, these goldfish could even be caught, which the kids enjoyed immensely.
🏡The yard has camping tables and chairs, swings, and a stone mill.
Staying here, you have the leisure of traveling and the warmth and intimacy of being in your own home.
After checking out, we took a taxi to West Street, which took about twenty minutes.

Min Nan residential houses
The Cai family ancient residential complex is located in Guanqiao Zhangli Village, Nan'an City, Fujian Province. It was built by the overseas Chinese Cai Qian from the Philippines. The construction started in the fifth year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1855) and was completed in the thirty-third year of the Guangxu era (1907), spanning 52 years. It covers an area of 16,000 square meters and has a total of 400 rooms of various sizes. The Cai family ancient residential complex faces south with a northern orientation. Each residence has either two or three sections, with protective side buildings or east and west wing rooms. The main structures feature hip-and-gable and rolling shed style roofs, covered with red tiles and tubular tiles, swallowtail-shaped ridges, mortise and tenon wooden frames, and beautifully carved beams and painted rafters. Each large house is an independent unit, yet they are connected by stone paths made of granite strips. These stone paths serve as walkways, as well as places for drying grains and resting in the shade. The entire complex is orderly and transparent, with a clever layout, reflecting the main characteristics of traditional Min Nan residential architecture during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Witness of the Maritime Trade Center during the Song and Yuan Dynasties
Jiuri Mountain is located in the west of Fengzhou Town, Nan'an City, and is a famous historical site of overseas traffic in China, listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. There are many ancient relics in the mountain, most of which are concentrated on the eastern slope of the West Peak and the southern foot of the East Peak. The most precious are the Song and Yuan Dynasty praying for wind stone carvings, including more than 70 cliff carvings from the Ming Dynasty. At that time, the foreign ships that came to Quanzhou to engage in overseas trade had to rely on the wind to drive the ships. The foreign ships coming to Quanzhou would come with the southeast wind in spring and summer, and go with the northwest wind in autumn. At that time, the Quanzhou government and people attached great importance to friendly relations with foreign guests. Every year when the foreign ships set sail, the Quanzhou county guard and the market ship office (customs) related officials and well-known people in Quanzhou would go to the Zhaohui Temple on Jiuri Mountain and pray for the wind for the foreign ships at the Tongyuan Wang Temple, and carve stones for records.
Min Nan Architecture Grand View Garden, it would be a pity to miss this place when you go to Quanzhou
After leaving the Cizao Kiln site, I went straight to the most anticipated Cai's ancient residential building complex today. The residential complex is located in Zhangli Village, Guanqiao Town, built by Cai Qian, a Chinese overseas in the Philippines, from the fifth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1855) to the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), which took 52 years to complete.
According to the introduction, the builder of Cai's ancient residential buildings, Cai Zishen, set off from Nan'an, Quanzhou, went south to the Philippines to make a living, and after becoming the richest man in the Philippines, he returned to his hometown, led his clan to build the ancient houses, which is now the famous Cai's ancient residential buildings at home and abroad. It is said that at its peak, Cai's ancient residential buildings had five rooms and three courtyards, plus left and right guard houses, with more than 400 rooms in total.
Today's Cai's ancient residential building complex faces north to south, each residential building is two or three entrances, the main building is hard mountain and roll shed style roof, covered with red tiles and tube tiles, swallowtail shaped ridge, through bucket style wooden frame, carved beams and painted buildings. From the perspective of unmanned aerial vehicle, the huge red brick building complex is dotted with clusters of green shade, the whole scale is larger than imagined.
The residential complex was built from east to west, with 10 large houses on the east side of the core area, which is almost a vertical square structure; there are 8 large houses on the west side, which is almost a horizontal square layout; in the far north, there are world houses and world cut houses where the clan live.
Entering Cai's residential building complex is like entering a maze, walking through the lanes, often feel that the houses look similar, but if you observe carefully, their carved beams and painted buildings are different, not only preserving a large number of stone carvings, brick carvings, wood carvings, clay sculptures, but also many interesting calligraphy paintings on the stone blocks of the porch and the partition of the hall.
Especially the content of the plaque inscription is very worth savoring, some are excerpts from the works of predecessors, some are created by the inscriber himself, mainly involving ancestral origins, family teachings and maxims. Among them, many are praises left by literati and scholars after visiting Cai's ancient residential buildings. For example, on the east and west walls of Cai Qian's porch, you can see the stone tablet of 'Family education has a real source, Meng leads a book to inherit four sons; Village residence has many victories, famous mountains thousands of feet into five peaks'.
What makes me most happy is that there is still a rare life atmosphere in Cai's ancient residential building complex today, and the original residents are not relocated because it has been developed into a tourist attraction, and walking in such still living ancient buildings can better feel the traces of time passing, not just looking back at the past, but a kind of inheritance over the years.

Located to the west of Guanqiao Town, Nan'an, Quanzhou, it is a relatively remote mountain village, very close to Xiamen, worth a visit.

Characteristic landscape, colorful stone houses, using stream stones, cobblestones.
Buffalo milk balls, local specialty, salty, locals say it can be paired with porridge, can also be used to make steamed eggs.
Quanzhou is a seriously underestimated national treasure, a hidden gem away from the crowds
After leaving Jiuri Mountain, we continued to explore the national treasures in the suburbs of Quanzhou by car. Quanzhou has the most national treasures in Fujian, and we had to sift through them when planning. But Wutayan is definitely a place that you decide to go to as soon as you see the pictures.
From Jiuri Mountain to Wutayan, there is finally a bit of a rural feel. The mountains are not high, but most of them are steep stone mountains, a bit like Xiaolao Mountain. Wutayan is located at the northwest foot of Zimao Mountain, and the car can see the parking lot halfway up the mountain. Next to the parking lot is a well called Longshui Spring. Many locals drive here to fetch water bucket by bucket. After reading the introduction, I understood that Wutayan was originally called Lingshuiyan, which probably has something to do with the spring water here.
It takes about 10 minutes to climb from the parking lot to Wutayan. The so-called mountain is not high, there is a fairy name, this ancient temple built in the Song Dynasty does have an excellent view overlooking the surroundings. With several intact Song Dynasty stone Buddha pagodas and cliff carvings since the Song Dynasty, it is indeed worth a special trip.
Although there are similar types in Quanzhou city, only this one is lined up with five pagodas, surrounded by peaks, and stands in the deep valley of the mountains. The five pagodas are all drum-shaped granite stone pagodas built in the Song Dynasty, all built on a square base, and built with stone strips. A hexagonal Sumeru seat is placed on the base, and the seat is composed of five layers such as the corner, the lower beam, the lower owl, the waist, and the upper owl.
A round lotus plate is placed on the Sumeru seat, and there is a layer of tower body on it. The tower body is in the shape of a drum-shaped six-petal melon ridge. The first and second floors of the tower body are round lotus and lotus plates. The second floor of the tower body is in the shape of a drum-shaped six-petal long melon ridge. There is a pointed arch-shaped Buddha niche on the front, and a Buddha statue is carved in the niche. There are traces of wind chimes hanging on the corners of the tower cover, which is a hexagonal flying eaves. The tower cover is a tower brake, the tower brake has a round base, the wheel is four, and the small cover is connected, and a gourd tower tip is placed on the cover.
The five pagodas are similar, but the Buddha statues in the tower body niches have different postures. Some are sitting cross-legged, with both hands making a Dharma seal in front of the abdomen; some are solemn Buddha statues, with ears hanging on the shoulders, sitting cross-legged; some are sitting with bent knees, with the left hand making a Dharma seal in front of the chest, and the right hand on the knee, with high brow bones. These statues have different expressions, all have distinctive features, and each has its own characteristics.
In addition to the five stone pagodas, Wutayan itself is also worth a look. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and expanded in the Yuan Dynasty. Most of the existing buildings are modern. The temple buildings are built according to the mountain, using two natural caves, and built the 'Longshui Zen Building' and 'Dingguang Daochang'. Looking at the temple from a drone, it looks like a castle in the sky, which is also a unique scenery.

| Climb a mountain and explore seven temples for free, Quanzhou is indeed a fairyland.
The World Heritage Site, Jiuri Mountain in Quanzhou, is less than a hundred meters above sea level, but it has seven temples. Understanding these seven temples is to understand Jiuri Mountain, which helps to understand why this small mountain has become a World Cultural Heritage.
The seven temples of Jiuri Mountain are two at the foot of the mountain (Yanfu Temple, Zhaohui Temple), three on the east peak (Mountain God Temple, Dengtai Temple, East Peak Taoist Temple), and two on the west peak (Land Temple, Stone Buddha Rock).
1. Yanfu Temple: The largest temple on Jiuri Mountain, built during the Western Jin Dynasty, more than 1700 years ago, is the earliest Buddhist temple in Quanzhou. The Indian monk Kuna Ratuo translated the Diamond Sutra here during the Southern Dynasty.
2. Zhaohui Temple: The Tongyuan King who is worshipped is the first sea god in China. The Quanzhou City Ship Office held a grand ceremony to pray for wind during the Song and Yuan Dynasties.
3. Mountain God Temple: The famous mountains in China are generally given a personified image of the mountain god. The Mountain God Temple of Jiuri Mountain is located on the waist of the east peak.
4. Dengtai Temple: Built during the Ming Dynasty, it mainly worships Jin Niangniang and Su Furen, locally known as "Dengtai Ma". This is also the place where Huang Yangmeng, a famous historical figure in Quanzhou, studied.
5. East Peak Taoist Temple: In the early Southern Song Dynasty, a Taoist priest set up a ceremony here to pray for blessings and disaster relief, hence the East Peak Taoist Temple. Today, there is a hall. Zhu Xi once lectured and preached here.
6. Land Temple: Worship the land god, worship the earth, pray for blessings and peace. Located on the waist of the west peak.
7. Stone Buddha Rock: There are stone Buddha statues from the Five Dynasties, which are the earliest stone carvings in Quanzhou. The stone pavilion of Stone Buddha Rock is a building added during the Qing Dynasty.
The temples of Jiuri Mountain coexist with Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, and contain the culture of the Maritime Silk Road, World Heritage, Southern Fujian, and folk culture. Come on a journey to explore the temples of Jiuri Mountain!
