💟Indian Ocean Highway in Western Australia, a symphony of loneliness and magnificence
🌎Western Australia is the largest and loneliest state in the world. In this vast area, there are both red earth deserts and lake oases, dense forests and stretches of coast, rugged canyons and boundless plains. This is a magical land that is difficult to summarize in words. Starting a self-driving journey, every kilometer is a baptism and shock to the soul!

💖Overview of attractions
✔️Kings Park: The largest urban park in the southern hemisphere, it is a natural resting place often visited by Perth citizens. The hills of Kings Park are the best place to overlook the panoramic view of Perth city, overlooking the Swan River landscape!
✔️Lancelin Sand Dunes: This place is covered with white and fine sand. Since it is located just near the Indian Ocean coastline, you can see the unique blue and white contrasting sea surface and sand dunes, and you can also experience exciting sandboarding.
✔️ Pinnacles: Among the flat sand dunes, weathered rock spiers rise from the ground. These rock formations are 4 meters high and depict a variety of faces, shapes and sizes. The reason for their formation is still an unsolved mystery. .
✔️Hutt Lagoon: The largest pink lake in Australia, girls are very excited. It is also an important bird sanctuary in the world. However, the color of the lake is greatly affected by the weather. It is recommended to understand the relevant conditions in advance.
✔️Kalbarri National Park: majestic canyons and colorful wildflowers everywhere. Here, you can bushwalk, gorge hiking or canoeing, or drive to the park’s many lookouts, which are must-photographed attractions.
✔️Monkey Mia: One of the few places in the world that meets four natural conditions for inclusion in the World Heritage List. Here you can get close to dolphins🐬, meet dugongs, and taste various seafood feasts!
☀️Why do you recommend this route? Because it is not only a self-driving trip, but also a spiritual pilgrimage. Here, you can feel the miraculous craftsmanship of nature and appreciate the insignificance and tenacity of human beings. Loneliness and magnificence are intertwined to form the unique charm of Western Australia's Indian Ocean Highway.

Moon-like experience @ Pinnacles Desert WA
#wheretogo
When in Perth Western Australia, one of my must-visits is The Pinnacles desert located in the Nambung National Park, about 200km drive (approximately 2 hours) from Perth city.
Exploring this geological wonder full of limestone structures is like a moon-like experience where you will feel like you’ve been transported to another world.
Really enjoyed this amazing park, it was well worth the visit. Nature lovers won’t want to miss this!
My rating of this attraction: 5 ⭐️ out of 5!
The Pinnacles Desert - Perth, Australia
The Pinnacles Desert in Perth is a unique and awe-inspiring natural wonder that is well worth a visit.
Located in the Nambung National Park, it features thousands of limestone pillars rising from the sand, creating an otherworldly landscape. What’s more, you can drive your way into the desert and marvel at these unusual rock spires up close!
It’s about two hours drive from Perth, and entry fees apply. The desert is open from 5:30am to 4:30pm daily, and I would recommend you to visit during the cooler months (April - September).

Pinnacles desert sunset ☀️
An amazing place to catch the sunset. Pinnacles Desert is a nature park filled with tons of natural limestone structures. This makes for amazing views and great pictures 🤩
The best part of this experience is driving through the 4km loop on the sand with your paths marked by stones. Park at any of the parking areas, get out of the car and explore the desert on foot! 😍
Highly recommended to head there at sunset for some amazing views and photos! The moon was huge and gorgeous too. For the lucky ones, this offers a chance at stargazing!
Entry to the park is AUD 15 for a whole day and includes entry to other nature parks around the area like Kalbarri. 🙌🏼

Famous Attraction in Western Australia - The Pinnacles
During the ancient times, this area was covered by forests. Over the long geological periods, a primeval forest sank into the sea and was buried by sand and stones. Under specific conditions, the stumps and roots gradually mineralized into stones. After another round of changes, the site of this primeval forest emerged from the water and reformed into land (the location of Nambung National Park). Through years of erosion by rain, wind, and sunlight, the sand and stones gradually peeled away, leaving the mineralized stumps standing in this yellow desert, creating the geological wonder known as 'The Pinnacles'.

Visiting the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park was a highlight of my trip to Western Australia. The landscape is truly otherworldly, with thousands of limestone pillars rising dramatically from the golden desert sands. I explored the well-marked loop drive, stopping frequently to take photos as the sunlight cast beautiful shadows over the formations. Walking among the pillars felt surreal, and I enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the area. The visitor center provided great insights into the geology and history of the site. Overall, the Pinnacles offered a unique and unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the region.

Nature's Artistry: The Breathtaking Pinnacles Desert
#australiatrip
The Pinnacles Desert, Nambung National Park, Western Australia, left me awestruck with its surreal landscape. Thousands of limestone pillars, crafted by nature's patient hand, rose from the sand like sentinels.
As I wandered through this alien landscape, the ever-changing light danced across the formations, casting eerie shadows. The desert's eerie silence was punctuated only by the calls of distant birds.
The Pinnacles Desert's unique beauty, forged by ancient forces, is a testament to nature's artistry. Explore the scenic drive, walk among the pillars, and uncover the secrets of this natural wonder.
A must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers, the Pinnacles Desert will leave you humbled and inspired by the sheer force of nature's creativity.
Breathtaking Natural Formations
Located about 200km north of Perth, Western Australia, accessible by rental car. The sight of numerous limestone pillars standing on the yellow soil, resembling a desert, was truly astonishing. The weather was great, and every view was a picturesque scene. These formations, created by nature over many years, were simply breathtaking. Be cautious while driving, as kangaroos may suddenly jump out onto the road.
Pinnacle in Perth – A Natural Wonder Worth Exploring
On a recent trip to the Pinnacle Desert in Nambung National Park, located about a two-hour drive north of Perth, the Pinnacles are a truly unique and surreal landscape that left me in awe.
**Getting There**
The drive from Perth to the Pinnacles was scenic and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to stop along the way for photos or a quick bite. I recommend leaving early in the morning to beat the crowds and fully appreciate the serene beauty of the desert.
**The Pinnacles Desert**
Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the vast expanse of limestone pillars rising out of the golden sand. The Pinnacles are naturally formed structures, some reaching up to 3.5 meters high, and they create a mesmerizing and almost otherworldly atmosphere. Walking among them felt like stepping into another planet. The contrast between the bright blue sky and the warm hues of the desert is truly breathtaking.
**Exploration and Photography**
Whether you choose to explore by foot or by car, the Pinnacles offer endless opportunities for photography. I opted to walk the trails, which allowed me to get up close to the formations and really appreciate their unique shapes and textures. The best time for photos is either early morning or late afternoon when the light is soft, and the shadows create dramatic effects.

A trip to the Pinnacles ☀️
Last year I drove to the Pinnacles- not far from Perth city (2 hours drive) and it is such a beautiful escape for the weekend. You get to see all of this rocks in the middle of nowhere and somehow is just great. Not so far you can also have a pit stop for a drink and the see the sea and the sunset. Just amazing. I highly recommend it if you are in Perth.

The Pinnacles Desserts in Australia ✨❤️🤩
#australiatrip
This is not just outer space! But is it really more mystical than outer space? Pinnacles, located in the central area of Nambung National Park, Australia, is believed to have a history of 25000 to 30000 years. It is named after its thousands of natural columnar structures, with heights ranging from approximately 1 meter to 3.5 meters. The Pinnacles are made up of limestone, which originally came from unusual shapes such as broken shells and coral shells. In fact, how they were formed is still a mystery. They are exposed to the natural environment when blown inland by the wind
The Pinnacles Desert
#australiatrip
The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of sea shells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. The Pinnacles range in height and dimension - some stand as high as 3.5m
If you are stargazing lover good place to visit
Nambung National Park
#australiatrip Amazing, almost alien-like landscape. I had wanted to visit the Namburg NP inclusive of The Pinnacles for some time. Driving time is around 2-hrs north of Perth. You have the option to do the 1.2kms Desert Walk and/or complete the 4kms loop in your car. I did both though it appears other visitors on the day viewed the Pinnacles mostly from their cars. There are a number of stopping points along the loop for those wanting to stop and admire the views. Entry fee to the NP is $15.00 per vehicle though concessions are also available. A good half-day visit. Arrive early to avoid the crowds. Highly recommend.

If you are driving on the right for the first time, don't be nervous, because Australia's roads are wide and long! The only thing to note is the kangaroo!
There are wild animal bodies all the way to the Pinnacles, and we almost killed a kangaroo on the way home at night!
