2025 Nakagami District Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in January)

It was my first trip to Okinawa, Japan. And, as a Russian person who grew up in “snow”, Okinawa with a warm climate is a paradise. I start my trip by visiting the supermarket. Because I want to buy Japanese strawberries 🍓, in Russia and everywhere I traveled and lived, Japanese strawberries were super expensive. In fact in Okinawa, strawberries and seafood were quite cheap. I kept going to the supermarket almost every day of my trip #SummerTrip

This is a cafe called 'MOTHER COFFEE' located in Okinawa. 📍 588 Zukeran, Kitanakagusuku, Nakagami District, Okinawa The cafe opens from 8 AM. It has an exotic southern appearance! I ordered a German-style pancake called Dutch Baby Pancake! They offer a wide variety of flavors, from sweet dessert types to savory ones! I tried the sweet caramel apple Dutch Baby Pancake 🥞 It was delicious with a melting sweetness! Next time, I want to try a non-sweet flavor!! The interior of the cafe is designed like a cave, giving it a hidden, cozy atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy your time at the cafe!

Okinawa was once a colony of the United States, leaving behind a lot of American traditional culture and cuisine. Among them, burgers and pancakes have flourished in Okinawa. Many people usually go to chain stores, but this time we found a local place where you can enjoy both delicacies at once. This place is known only to locals. Among the tourists, it was just my boyfriend and me 🤣 but it didn't stop us from enjoying the food and taking pictures. The burger was huge, impossible to finish in one bite, and the meat juices were bursting out. The fries were just the right thickness, delicious even without ketchup. The pancakes looked very American, with cream bigger than a person, but not greasy at all! Delicious. 📍Kona Coffee

As we didn’t drive, it took us quite an amount of time to reach the lovely cafe. About 2hrs to get there by bus and taxi. But definitely love it, do go there early to avoid the crowd. The coffee, drinks and desserts are nice but is the ambience and vibes we went there for so didn’t really took much photos. Although many people took quite a lot of photos of the beverages and desserts as is quite colourful, we are just too engrossed looking out into the ocean.

#okinawatrip An impressive place with a cave that looks like hollowed out the inside of a huge rock. If you don't go at low tide, you can't enter the cave. In the tide pool, you can see small fish such as red snapper. It's a place that only those who know know now, but if the Four Seasons Hotel is under construction and opens on the south side of Apogama, there will be no sense of a secret place. If you're going, maybe now. There is no parking lot, so it will be parked on the street at the end of the road.

#okinawatrip Incredible park! Free parking and free entrance. Kid friendly. Dog friendly. There are lot of fish in the pond + the bats and cats come out in the evening. This was so fun to walk around. You can easily spend an hour exploring. There are numerous trails that meander. There's a lookout tower and on-site vending machine and bathrooms. I highly recommend!

#okinawatrip Nice park with many things to keep your kids busy. You can take a boat ride around the small lake, feed the fish, ducks and turtles, or go on a bike ride or jog. There are tennis couts, running tracks, bike rentals, basketball courts, jungle gyms, camping grounds, and various other sporting complexes. If your children like soccer they have a few different soccer programs that you can sign up for throughout the week. There is a nice look out that during lily season sports a beautiful field full of lily's. Great Photo opportunities here too.

#okinawatrip Great little park. It has a wheelchair/stroller path that traverses the whole park, top to bottom. It also has "short cuts" where there are stairs going on a more direct route. There is some nice play equipment including slides, rope wall, seesaw, monkey bars, etc. There are several shades tables, one up by the parking lot and two by the bathrooms (which were clean and well stocked). I wish there was a shaded table by the playground. There is also a nice open field and a small water feature.

#thingstodo Good sized park for the little ones. A dated but fun play area with plenty of play space for younger kids. There are two fields to play soccer or play catch. Parking and public restrooms available. There are a couple of vending machines around for drinks as well. Overall, a nice park with great views.Nice place to have outdoor lunch. Great views of Chatan

#2024wish I love Araha beach for so many reasons, it has everything, a variety of restaurants and cafes, great parking, huge soft grassy areas, basketball courts, outdoor grilling areas beautiful sandy beach with stairs going into the water. It’s one of the best places to swim, it is netted, to keep things out and to know how far to go. It’s relaxing to just float in your back and relax. The view at sunset is amazing. People watching is great here with the length of the sidewalk and the short wall to sit on. We met a man with three tiny dogs. He stopped and let us play with them. In 2024, I want to go to the beach again.
