#solotravel I recently went on a solo trip to Batam, Indonesia. I started the day with breakfast at Shi Fang Yuan Dimsum. The dim sum was delicious, and it was a perfect start to my day! After breakfast, I visited Grand Batam Mall for some shopping. The mall had many stores, and I enjoyed looking around and finding interesting things. For lunch, I tried something new at Pizza Hut – the Chicken Nanban Pizza. It's a unique flavor that I can't find in Malaysia, so it was fun to taste something different. Before heading home, I stopped by JC Supermarket to pick up some souvenirs. They had a good variety of local snacks and items to bring back. #indonesiatrip Si Fang Yuan is a dimsum restaurant located in Batam, Indonesia. It's just located nearby the famous A2 food court, Batam City Square Mall and just beside Aston Inn Hotel. The restaurant is crowded but their services and food is fast. Recommended those who wanna give a try must go there early or avoid the peak hours. Overall the food is nice but the price is slightly higher maybe because it's only the dimsun restaurant and non halal in Batam. Hotel rooms were on avg of $80 a night and this hotel is newly opened with clean comfortable huge rooms and its located walking distance from the famous local markets and shopping centres and cafes. Also, this hotel has really friendly staff that helped us during both our check in and check out. Food here looks amazing but we did not have the breakfast in the hotel as we wanted something local. #2023travelwish Love Seafood is a popular choice for many visitors, including locals and foreigners, it will not be a Batam trip without a nice seafood lunch or dinner. Love Seafood has a number of outlets around Batam, this outlet located at Jalan Teuku Umar, Kampung Seraya, inside 168 Foodcourt, is around 2 minutes walk from Nagoya Hill Mall, and around 4 kilometers 9 minutes drive from Harbourbay Ferry Terminal. A spacious and comfortable open-air restaurant, is open daily from 1000-2230, and has a lot of selection from live (in the tank) or fresh seafood, like fishes, crabs, prawns, and many more. You can have the seafood steam, boil, asam pedas or deep fried. I had ordered 2 fish, 1 was steam, the other deep fried, seafood platter (flower crab, prawns, gong-gong (sea snail), scallops), deep fried chicken with onion, and vegetables. The seafood is fresh and good, only the flower crab meat is not so good. The chicken must not be missed, both the chicken and onion are crispy and delicious. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

Some of the stalls open as early as 0630 and close around midnight. There are three main areas where you can sit. The indoor area is open from 6:30am and is covered which protects you from sun and rain. The main outdoor area is adjacent, and an upstairs area which is also split into open and covered. Nagoya Food Court is one of the largest food courts in Batam today, and has plenty of tenants who are ready to serve a variety of delicious dishes, ranging from traditional to Indonesian, Western, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines. I had ordered a mixed beef soup, bak kut teh, fish yam soup, fishball soup, wanton in soup and fry and the famous mamma otah. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

Pasar Penunin Wet and Dry market is only 4 minutes walk from the hotel, where you can buy dry foods and etc. Room with a big balcony, a lying sofa and a writing desk. Coffee and tea making facilities and digital safe are available in the room. 43 cable TV channel, free Wifi access entertaining you while in the room. Swimming Pool and the fitness room with modern equipment are on the 5th floor, Spa Kazoku to pamper you during your stay. There are restaurants, cafes, clubs and bars to serve you, breakfast is on the 2nd floor, with a wide spread of delicious foods. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

love the location. near to 2 malls (grand batam and DC mall) within walking distance. watch late night movie and have no worries to go back to hotel as location not eerie and has stalls and coffee house that is still open. Nice view (can see MBS) from my hotel room. Room eventhough small (standard room), it is clean and cozy.

Stayed at i baloi Batam in sept 2022 during Mid-Autumn festival. Very good location, in between a chinese wet market and 2 shopping malls. Next to our hotel there is a huge opem air eating place too! too bad i didnt manage to try it. Will come back again to stay! The only sad thing is that the breakfast was too cold and hence not nice
