#freehotelstay This is the Ghibli Park situated in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It is built on and within the grounds of Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park). You can either take a train to Ai-Chikyuhaku Kinen Koen station or take a Meitetsu shuttle bus from Nagoya station to Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park. Unfortunately, these are not included in the JR Pass. Although they call it a themed park, it is more like a museum. You get to take lots of Ghibli scenes and see how they are created. I really liked it.

Take the tube and transit to another tube which you can’t use the day pass. This commemorative park is big and clean. There are some plagues at the entrance to record the history of this park and a convenience store - Lawson with souvenirs sold. Also there is a souvenir shop opposite to it, selling characters like Moonmin and his friends. A free museum showcasing the expo at 2005 is worthy to be visited, but the way to get in isn’t very clearly stated

Ghibli Park sells tickets for three months later on the 10th of every month! I've always wanted to go, so I won a ticket and finally landed in Nagoya! Currently, three areas are open: Ghibli's Big Warehouse, Hill of Youth, and Dondoko Forest. The Big Warehouse, full of Ghibli secrets, was so much fun, so much more spacious than I imagined, and full of things to see! There was a long line just to take a photo with No-Face! The photo time was incredibly short and you were told right away. Honestly, I wish they'd improve that. Maybe it depends on the date and time you go. Currently, only Ghibli's Grand Warehouse is open to foreigners, and one has to queue up online a few months in advance to purchase the tickets. The Ghibli's Grand Warehouse is an indoor attraction featuring all from past Studio Ghibli movies such as Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo and more... There are a lot of photo spots you can take photos with, as well as seasonal short original movie you can watch, exhibits, souvenirs for purchase and even children's play area. It's a great experience for Studio Ghibli fans.

The Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, opened in 1989 as part of the Toyota Motor Corporation 50th anniversary project, and displays about 120 cars manufactured by world-famous automakers, tracing their history. Many of the cars are preserved in working order, and you can see them driving around at events. The Ghibli Park in Nagoya, which opened last November 🤩, was so popular that several months' worth of lottery and first-come-first-served tickets were sold out! 😱 Moreover, foreigners found it difficult to purchase tickets because they had to provide a Japanese address and phone number. 🥲 When I checked in December, all tickets were sold out until March. However, I was able to visit by purchasing a package that included a hotel and Ghibli Park tickets. 🙂🙂 We visited the largest and most famous "Ghibli's Treasure Trove," which had many photo spots that recreated famous scenes from Ghibli animations and sets that made us feel like we were in the actual animation! It was really enjoyable! 😍 Although Ghibli Park is a theme park, you can still enjoy the park without a ticket.
