Horseshoe Falls, U.P., MI, USA Horseshoe Falls is a privately owned waterfall so there's a fee to go see it but I think it's well worth the price. It truly a gem of a place and the waterfall was picture perfect, it cascades so beautifully, the grounds were very well kept and it was simply relaxing to walk through the trails. It's a spring fed waterfall with a 20 foot drop and the water from the falls cascades into a pond that has rainbow trout that you can feed as well as ducks. It was so much fun to watch the ducks chase after the food you throw in. The whole grounds area was covered in gnomes and the owner gave the kids gnome hats and had a scavenger hunt dedicated to finding them all (each gnome had a name tag). At the end they got to pick out a prize. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI, USA You have to visit Michigan and do a boat cruise to take in all of the beauty Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore has to offer. You can even see a waterfall which cascadeds 70 feet into Lake Superior, as well as East Channel Lighthouse, Miners Castle, Lovers’ Leap, Indian Head, Grand Portal and Chapel Rock just to name a few of the natural landmarks along these stunning rocks. The mineral-stained sandstone cliffs and Caribbean-blue Lake Superior stretch 42 miles between Munising and Grand Marais. When groundwater from the cliffs’ cracks drizzles down the rocks, stunning colors appear. Red identifies iron, black and white mean manganese, yellow and brown show limonite and pink and green show copper. It looks like a painting in some spots and absolutely beautiful, pictures don't do it justice and do not show the magnitude of how BIG the cliffs actually are. You have to check out the views from the top as well to put it into perspective.
