This place is very easy to reach from the city, Monserrat is just an hour train ride from Barcelona. Board the train from Placa espana and stop at aeri de montserrat station. Take the cable car or the furnicular to reach the mountain. Had the great view while riding the cable car to the top. The journey lasts about 15-20 minutes and it runs regularly for every 30 minutes.

Could've savor the place more coz sitting and just watching the place and the mountains if just relaxing. I went in December so it's a bit windy and cold, but tolerable at 15-20 degrees. I enjoyed the view from the square that was open on all sides and seemed to be floating in the sky, and I took a walk and looked around slowly.
