All Moments About Mishima
[Shizuoka/Mishima] The best suspension bridge in Japan!
Mishima Skywalk in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture!
This bridge, with a total length of 400m, is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan!
It's quite high, so be careful if you're afraid of heights⚠️
The wind was quite strong🌪️
If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji! 🗻
Japan's longest suspension bridge and the highest mountain in Japan!
There are plenty of activities beyond the suspension bridge!
I bought a set of long zip slide and buggy.
The building where you can reserve activities is after crossing the bridge!
The zip ride was extremely exhilarating! It felt great~
It was my first time riding a buggy, but it's easy to ride! The course was quite intense💥
Work gloves are essential for the zip ride! You can buy them, but you can also bring your own🉑 at your own risk, but it might be a good idea to have a smartphone shoulder bag🉑 to take photos with your smartphone during the zip ride!
Some activities have set start times, so I recommend going early with plenty of time.

[Shizuoka Prefecture/Mishima Taisha Shrine] Izu's No. 1 power spot
This highly prestigious shrine is the Ichinomiya of Izu Province.
It boasts the highest number of visitors in Shizuoka Prefecture, and the grounds are quite large.
It is also known as the shrine where Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for the revival of the Genji clan.
Within the grounds, there is a stone bench where Minamoto no Yoritomo and Masako are said to have rested during their 100-day daily visit.
After entering the grounds and walking a short distance, you will see Itsukushima Shrine and the sacred pond on your left.
The red bridge and shrine building stand out against the green scenery, making it a popular spot.
It is also a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, so I would like to visit in spring next time.

Mishima Station @ Shizuoka 🗻
Mishima Station is often used for visiting Mt. Fuji 🗻
On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji right in front of you, but unfortunately it was cloudy on this day and I couldn't see it 😭
There are many sweets with Mt. Fuji motifs inside the station, so you won't have any trouble finding souvenirs!
They also sell ekiben and Mishima croquettes!
I bought this sandwich because I was attracted by the packaging, and the bread was fluffy and sweet, so it was really delicious 🥪
During strawberry season, the things sold here were really delicious 🍓

[Hakone, Japan] A popular attraction in Shizuoka Prefecture - Mishima Skywalk North Area, which has been very popular since its opening. It is a popular attraction in Hakone🥳🥳🥳
I personally like the Mishima Skywalk attraction. The 400-meter-long pedestrian suspension bridge surpasses the Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge to become the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. If the weather is good, you can even see Mount Fuji next to it! It’s a pity that the visibility was not good when I went there that day, so I missed Mount Fuji 🥺 I can only come again next time! There is also a new zipline there, which is very exciting 😏

Ruins of 三島 castle at the top of the mountain with provide awesome views of the area and Mt. Fuji.

[Mishima] Mitsuishi Shrine
[Access]
About a 15-minute walk from Mishima Station on the Tokaido Line
[Attractions]
~A shrine built along the Genbei River~
It is located on the same grounds as the Toki no Kane Bell.
Long ago, there was a large stone called Mitsuishi along the Genbei River, and it is said that Mitsuishi Shrine was built on top of it to enshrine Inari.
The current shrine is said to have been built in 1991.
The flow of the Genbei River that can be seen from the shrine is also very picturesque.

Mishima Skywalk
Japan's longest pedestrian-only suspension bridge! It also has a well-equipped activity area and is a place full of things to see.
If the weather is good, the view of Mt. Fuji is amazing.
The Sky Garden, decorated with flower chandeliers, was also a relaxing spot with lots of flowers. 🌷🌸🌺🌻
In the cafe space, you can eat pancakes and stylish sweets.
There were plenty of things to do, such as climbing, ziplining, and strolling through the natural "Kicoro Forest."

You can enjoy various activities, so it's fun to go with a group!

[Shizuoka] Japan's longest suspension bridge, Mishima Skywalk
I went to the Mishima Skywalk, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan, with a total length of 400 meters, located in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture!
The contrast between the suspension bridge and Mt. Fuji is truly #breathtaking ✨
It doesn't shake much even when you walk, so you can take an aerial walk while enjoying the view.
Beyond the bridge, there are activities such as zip lines and facilities where you can interact with animals, making it a spot that can be enjoyed by both adults and children ♫
If you just want to cross the bridge, it takes about an hour, but if you want to enjoy activities, we recommend staying for about half a day.

[Shizuoka] Mishima Taisha Shrine, the power spot where Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for victory in battle
Mishima Taisha Shrine, the best power spot in Izu ⛩
Famous for the prayers made during the uprising to overthrow the Heike clan, who established the Kamakura Shogunate, and the spectacular victory. It is also popular as a power spot for prosperous business.
It is also recommended as a cherry blossom viewing spot, with cherry blossoms 🌸 in spring, hydrangeas in the rainy season, and golden osmanthus in autumn!
The "Koshikakeishi" where Minamoto no Yoritomo and Hojo Masako are said to have actually sat is a must-see for fans of historical dramas and history!
It is not well known, but in the "Shinshikaen" on the right hand side after entering, there are deer 🦌 that are said to have come from Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara during the Taisho era. Be sure to visit and see them.

As I was heading towards Mura no Eki, I noticed a cute sign and was curious, so I went in♫
This is actually an egg specialty store🥚

As expected of a "food theme park," there is an overwhelming selection of products! Locally picked vegetables, seafood, souvenirs, and all kinds of Izu souvenirs are available!
There are also restaurants that use local ingredients, so it's perfect for lunch!
And there were many specialties from all over the country, not just from Izu, so even locals can enjoy it as if they were traveling ♫

[Mishima] Bakery TRUCK
On my way back from the hot springs, I went to TRUCK, a bakery in Umena, Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture!
It's located along Route 136 and I've always been curious about it, but I never thought it was a bakery! ! At first glance, it's hard to tell what kind of shop it is, but the inside is very stylish and the bread was delicious!
If you ask, you can eat freshly baked mentaiko French bread and garlic French bread!
The most popular curry bread is crispy on the outside and filled with lots of curry inside, and it was delicious!
The prices for each bread are a little high, but please give it a try!
I stopped by on my way back from the hot springs in Izu Nagaoka.
Why not stop by to buy some bread on your way back from a hot spring or strawberry picking in Ema, which is famous for strawberry picking?

Cherry blossoms fluttering
The cherry blossom path continues in the grounds of Mishima Shrine, and the wind blows and the petals flutter down. Cherry blossom petals float on the surface of the pond. There are several food stalls set up, so you can stroll along the flower path while eating rice dumplings. Being surrounded by pink makes you feel happy.

[Mishima] Kappo Daidai
I went to Kappo Daidai in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture!
This time I had a 5,500 yen course meal.
Every single dish was exquisite and very delicious.
You can also enjoy alcohol that goes well with the food.
About 30 minutes by car from Mishima is a hot spring town called Izu Nagaoka, where you can enjoy a day trip to the hot springs. Of course, you can also stay the night.
It takes about 20 minutes by train from Izu Nagaoka to Mishima Hirokoji Station, so it's worth taking the Izu Hakone Railway and coming to Mishima just to eat the food, as it was so delicious!
