Minneapolis is one of the best places to experience Fall. With just enough warmth from the summer months and in anticipation of the blistering winter colds, a walk around the city is a good way to see the transition of colors as the season change. From the house in Uptown (which is actually downtown) where I spent some three months with my partner, I walked around the neighborhood where canopes of trees just starting to foliage. This was very different when I first went here where everything was white and gray. I continued to walk down the bike trail and the leaves slowly turning yellows and reds and browns. I continued the trail until I reached the tranquil Lake Harriett perfect for kayak. As I continued my walk to Lake Calhoun, the trees are shedding more leaves, a sign of the upcominh winter. In a few months, this will all turn out white! #fallingforfall

Lake Bde Maka Ska, more popularly known as Lake Calhoun (for the-not-so-obvious-reason) is one and the largest of the many lakes in Minnesota. Located just a quick 2-3 minute walk from Uptown (which actually is Downtown 😉) , Calhoun is gives you a very calming environment, perfect for walking and biking around its many trails or driving around. You can also do a lot of water activities, just make sure to come when the Lake is NOT frozen. Hotels - millennium hotel is a great place to stay Food & Restaurants - There is no food in the served in the restaurant that is on property, but the Hyatt hotel across the roadway from the hotel Millennium has a terrific breakfast. then down the road there is Einstein Bagles & Starbucks for a nice quick breakfast. so those places were convenient. there are other great places to eat like dinner Fogo De Cho for dinner, Butcher n the Boar is another great place to eat. Come here every single time I visit the region and always get at least a dozen in the box and take it home and share the thing with my office and coworkers.
