2025 Minh Chau Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in May)
All Moments About Minh Chau
Laozihao, the first choice for Vietnamese souvenirs, is a must-try.
It was my first time to go to Vietnam. Thanks to my group mates who did some research online beforehand and found this must-visit restaurant.
MINH CHAU is a souvenir shop with a long history. The meat is a specialty of Vietnam and the price is reasonable: 260,000 dong/1kg, about 80 Hong Kong dollars. Half kg packaging is also available. There is also a free delivery service to the hotel where you are staying. It can be specially arranged to be delivered to the hotel on the day of departure, so that we can take it home.
"Zha Rou" is packed tightly with rice dumplings using the traditional Vietnamese packaging method. It does not need to be refrigerated, but since it does not contain preservatives, the owner kindly reminds you: after opening the package, it can be kept in a refrigerator at 0-4 degrees for a maximum of 3-4 days.
When you come to Vietnam, remember to bring some Vietnamese flavors home!
Beach, blue sky, clear waters
Minh Chau Beach is ideal in every way: the sand is white, the sea is clear, the surroundings is so peaceful, even in the sweltering and the breeze is refreshing summer heat. Minh Chau is located on Quan Lan Island, which is also home to Quan Lan Beach, which is only 7 kilometers away. Some guests prefer to spend the night on the beach and that’s what we opted out, Dow the total experience we bought our camping tent and we just head there and build it, it was such a very magical experience.

Untouched beauty
Quan Lan Island is located in Bai Tu Long Bay, on the borders of Halong Bay. It's sparsely populated, having seaports on the island's northern and southern ends. Despite being inhabited by residents, the island beauty remains relatively unspoilt, with 3 long white sandy beaches and magnificent woodland regions. Quan Lan island is also an excellent site to try some of the local seafood, due to the availability.
There are numerous tiny family-run hotels and homestays on Quan Lan Island for those who want to stay more than a day, and you may even be able to charter a boat to carry you along the island's coastline.
